To all emergency personnel thank you for all you do to protect and help people. My grandparents and aunt and uncles were EMTS on Long Island and my great grandfather was an FDNY Firefighter and to those who say that its annoying that firefighters and other emergency personnel say about how they almost died would never understand what it feels like to be inside a fire or a plane crash searching for people. Some of them will never know what it felt like going into 2 110 story buildings on you

I cry tears of joy every time I hear that FDNY is finally using Q sirens again. YES!

I remember back in the mid 1960s when they came out with that Fire Lane, stating the NY Daily News as well as the other papers, that only Emergency vehicles were allowed in those lanes, and that civilians were to keep them free at all times, but I see not much has changed, majority of the drivers, don't seem to give a hoot at all, and block the road. It's a darn shame to see that.,
