Busy day for 65 Engine in Manhattan mostly EMS and Class III runs. Here they get toned out 3rd due to a Class III AFA.

My dad's dept just bought gear like the ones in the vid...I thought the diamond-plate reflective looked cool

I didn’t think FDNY or any other dept’s had that Diamond plate reflective gear 7 years ago when this was filmed . I thought that came out more recent. I definitely like that reflective trim , it’s more like the old school stuff from when I was new on the job .

@@OwneyMadden430 sheesh, blast from the past here. I can confirm this style of reflective has been around since at least 2012 (my gear has it, still in the same department with my father). There's also a version where the outer stripes are orange and the inner stripe is lime. I've seen glimpses of it but never been face to face with that.

+IZ FUMBLES He might be an explorer, they are allowed access to career departments and most states allow it. Its kind of like showing a taste of what to expect in the fire service. That's just my guess as to how he does it though

FF3127 get a clue pal. The alarm was for a building right next door to the 1st due unit. They were already 10-84 when the alarm came in. As the 3rd due unit for this type of box the sop is for a modified response. Get a clue you volley buff
