You can not go wrong with Rick Remender and Jerome Opena. One of the best duos!

The cover art caught my eye with that nostalgic sci-fi look and now your review of the story is moving this to the top of my want list.

Great book, highly recommended. Love having Fear Agent and Black Science in the collection.

I wanted to buy the older printing of these, but they sold out quickly and the prices on the secondary market were very high. I'm glad that they're back in print & plan to buy & finally read them. I'm loving the art which has the feel if not the total look of old EC Comics. Great review.

Excellent review, Larry. You described it perfectly. I enjoyed this story and recommend it, especially for people new to Remender. That said, I didn’t like the ending as much as many people. I thought it probably should’ve been darker. Still, it’s definitive, as you note, and fits the story. It’s much better than his ending in Low, but my favorite Remender ending is Seven to Eternity. That’s a minority opinion, but I like how he lets the chips land where they may.

Reminder is a great writer with my favourites owned being seven to eternity and Tokyo ghost. Just started dipping my toes into Manga. Recently read junji Ito's Uzumaki which I loved and I've the first 3 deluxe editions of Berserk waiting aswell as the Akira 35th Anniversary boxset by Otomo to begin. My backlog is growing ( nothing like yours though!! Remember that classic Brubaker/Cooke Catwoman of East End you've yet to read after years on your shelf 😉😂😂 ) and I'm a mood reader! Still got Moore's Miracleman Omni to open up n read! And many more...but I'm loving fiction at the moment writers like Charles Bukowski and James Ellroy. I scan my room and shelves...ask myself..what reading mood am I in and I go from there! 😂✌️ Recently bought and read through Darkhorses entire Conan run too. Loved most of the writers and artists. Very impressive run loyal to Howards magnificent tales! Have a good day mate 👍

I haven’t read this although I have the old volume 1. I guess I’ll buy the new volume 2 and hope that they look ok together on the shelf. I really need to read this series though.

I’ve not read anything from Rick Remender yet, I’ve seen plenty of people speak highly of his work I’m not sure what to check out first from him Fear Agent has been on my list but im hesitant to purchase it lol

I finished reading this yesterday. It was fine, but after reading it I now see how Remender uses a lot of the same exact tropes in his stories. That kinda gets old and predictable after a while. I would give it a 8/10 still.
