Dude , in Bizarrefest there was hundreds of legendary bands , we was used to them , we used to live the music from within , not doing poser modern things as all the post-millenial crowds does because they can only imagine how it was the 90s for real . Honestly wannabe rock crowds of 2020s or 2010s doesnt look very different of the Trap (or whatever) ones for me , just posing and moving like headless chickens . Not to mention 90% of them are with a camera in the hand , all just for TikTok or KZfaq , lmao .

It's almost unbelievable they used to perform this style of music live with Raymond not drumming to a click track, without in-ear monitoring for all of them and with the loops triggered and Synth played in real time by John. And they still pulled it off!

It was other times, and practicing a lot and doing things more natural due to not having the quantity of tools and technology now modern people use, they always focused on playing and composing music that they could play without having those complications, nowadays modern bands use a lot of tools to play it more perfect but feels a bit unnatural and at some point if they don't have those tools they won't play live as expected on what you hear on the album and the timings

I come back to this performance all the time. This has to be one of Burton's best performance. Chills every time, so much power. I love everything about the Obsolete era. The band was on fire, everyone gave it their all, but Burton in particular is astonishing. Screaming like that for an hour is insane.

@kennyhouser34674 жыл бұрын
I saw them quite a few times between 97-2000. Ray Herrera was straight power and consistency, Dino was a palm muting machine, Christian was the stage presence, and Cliff had a voice like no other. Singing like in this video is likely the reason he sounds so bad now. He had terrible technique but sounded excellent in the context of the music. I remember seeing them at Ozzfest in Phoenix, AZ in 98 and their entire set was absolute carnage. I'd say that easily half of the entire audience was a gigantic mosh pit in 100+ degree weather and no one gave a single shit. A little known band at the time called Slipknot was the warm up act for that particular stage. The entire 2 or so hours was pure adrenaline and testosterone. Just living it up listening to both bands doing what they did best at the time. Fuck shit up.

Almost like a voice in my head saying "This life could end at any time, and you really don't want to experience what's comes next, so take this opportunity to push yourself to the max". Then I lift harder, run farther, study more, and put myself into robot mode to get through whatever comes at me. Favorite band.

justin small - yeah what’s up with the mix? Seems like the drums were intermittent and then there’s a lot of chaos and off tempo shit like Dino was a measure ahead or the keyboardist was not rehearsed especially for Resurrection towards the end of the song. Maybe just honest mistakes but I thoroughly enjoyed this concert
@djabthrash4 жыл бұрын
@@golz9785 The mix is a live tv broadcast mix, and they tend to be very average generally, because it's a festival so there is no real soundcheck and the tv broadcast mix is made in a rush and adjusted live. It's like listening to a soundboard mix alone with levels that are wrong.

The only band that sounded better live than the studio recording, right here ladies and gentlemen. Detroit Michigan, Harpos, the perfect storm occurred during EdgeCrusher and I destroyed the entire tornado pit during the breakdown. Burton pointed at me and roared "You fuckin rock!" as I was standing in the middle of the floor with no one around for 20 feet. I yelled to him "Burt you fuckin rock!" It was the most amazing high I've ever felt. They kicked in the re-up right before the last pre chorus and everyone jumped back on the floor and had a fuckin ball. It was so much fun.
