OVERVIEW
Toneforge Disruptor is a virtual guitar rig plugin & standalone app that simplifies guitar tone and provides all the necessary tools for guitarists, mixers, and producers to create detailed metal tones. Developed in collaboration with Dino Cazares, the guitarist for Fear Factory, it is the first virtual rig to offer DI Match Technology, String/Tuning Mode calibrations, and AI-matched Dino Cazares tones using a Neural Network algorithm. The plugin also includes an Autonomous Dynamic System, a built-In Dynamic EQ, three Amp Channels, a redesigned Cab Room, and a complete suite of effects pedals.
Dino Cazares and Joey Sturgis have been pioneers in the use of digital modeling technology to create guitar tones that were previously unattainable. Cazares is a founding member of Fear Factory and has been using digital amp modeling and extended-range guitars since the 1990s. His work has inspired many metal and rock artists to add extended-range guitars to their sound, leading to some of the most innovative tones of the last 30 years. Sturgis, a producer and engineer, has also contributed to the use of technology in guitar tone and has worked with bands such as Asking Alexandria and Of Mice & Men. Together, their influence continues to shape the sound of modern metal and rock music.
THE SOUND
JST embarked on a mission to design a next gen virtual guitar rig that boasts a unique set of features unparalleled by any other amp sims currently available on the market. But this is so much more than an amp sim.
Toneforge Disruptor was born from our collaboration with Dino and gave way to three incredible amp models, an all-new cab room with virtual microphone positioning, and a completely customizable drag-and-drop pedalboard. The various amps and tones found in Disruptor are built using a combination of white box, black box, and neural network modeling methods to achieve accurate recreations of various tones from Dino’s career.
That being said, the true power of Toneforge Disruptor comes from the flexibility found around the traditional signal chain. Keep reading for some of the biggest highlights found in the new plugin and how you can get started with them.

@@8ori5 nah man, Dino's one saving grace is that his right hand is absolute solid gold. I know there's plenty of people doing what he does today but back in the mid 90's not quite so much. Even at nearing 60 years old he's still right as fuck and more importantly, creative enough to want to make new music. I promise you, even today, there's not many younger players who could put stamina him with his picking hand.
@8ori5
@8ori5 Жыл бұрын
@@revivedfears I'm sorry but i disagree. There's tons of guitar players who have a wayyyyyy better rhythm hand, even if you went back in the 90's: Mustaine, Thordendal, Hanneman, Townsend, Suimez, Karlsson ...Litteraly tons ! Nowadays, there's an other tons of guitar player who are objectivly better than him, even on KZfaq: Jason Richardson, Dean Lamb, Kevin Heiderich Creative? Dino plays the same type of riffs and rhythm since forever. If this track would pop out from a lambda band, i'm pretty sure it won't get so many views. The fact that FF got credit was not because of the guitar work but because the band genre proposal, its approach was pretty unique when they starts, there were the link between nü-metal and industrial music. Today, this does'nt sound very "inventive" and "original".

I first heard Obsolete in 1998. I was blown away. I had been into Korn, Sepultura and Deftones but had not heard anything like them. Then I went back further and found Demanufacture and was in love. Dino's style is unmatched in the metal world and he has been an inspiration to me for guitar playing for 25 years. I hope he understands what an impact he has had on the heavy music world.

The first time I heard of Fear Factory was back in the 90s when they still played music videos on much music. Dave mustaine was hosting and played replica. I liked it so I bought demanufacture and was hooked. At that time it was unlike anything I had heard. But even now when you hear a Fear Factory song you know it's them. Dinos style is unmistakable.
