Special forces and special operations forces (SOF) are military units trained to conduct special operations. NATO has defined special operations as "military activities conducted by specially designated, organized, trained, and equipped forces, manned with selected personnel, using unconventional tactics, techniques, and modes of employment".
Special forces may perform functions including airborne operations, counter-terrorism, foreign internal defense, covert ops, direct action, hostage rescue, high-value targets/manhunt, intelligence operations, mobility operations, and unconventional warfare.

I wouldn’t say fear is fuel but coming to grips with that fear and pushing past it to do what needs to be done separates the men from the boys fear should be more of a tool to keep you on your toes and makes you feel alive and want to stay that way but sometimes it can hinder you if your dumped with a bunch of adrenaline in a high stress situation sometimes it can cloud your judgement depending on the situation
