A perfectly normal take off with sights and sounds when an airplane takes off. Notice when the plane gets airborne the sound and shaking immediately stops and the flight gets enjoyable and smooth.

Guys, I had the WORST Aerophobia which no one here could compare with me, but I went to Stockholm two weeks ago with a plane on a 2.5-hour flight and this is my experience. I know what kind of fear is this and how terrible is, so this is my experience and my tips. On the day when I was flying, there was a rainy storm for days in my country and winds. In some moments, I was so anxious and I was thinking a few times about canceling the flight. I had that ''luck'' that when the plane took off, turbulence started to occur, and halfway to Sweden, the plane was shaking and was going up and down nonstop. Even before I entered the plane, my heart was beating strong, and I had strong fear. Especially when I sit on the seat and the plane started to taxi on the runway and prepared for take off. Now the most important question: HOW I DEFEATED MY AEROPHOBIA? 1. There is a Latin quote saying: ,,Amat victoria Curam'' - ,,The victory loves preparation''. Therefore, some 2 months before the flight, I watched every day videos of take-offs like this one here. I watched them for hours, even when I was at work. So, I was preparing for 2 months mentally. 2. I make it clear. How much I will miss in life if I don't defeat my Aerophobia now? The answer was - a lot. I know that if I hadn't taken that flight, I would be so sad when I will be 90 years old (by God's grace) that I was a coward when I was young. 3. Most importantly: I was praying. I'm an Orthodox Christian and I was reading nonstop: Psalm 26 (or 27): ,,The Lord is my light and Salvation...'', then Psalm 50 (or 51): ,,Have mercy on me, o God...'', and Psalm 90 (or 91): ,,Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High...''. I read this Psalms the day before the flight and before the flight itself. I also prayed before, during and after the flight to my Lord Jesus Christ, and on the back home too. To be honest, once again, I had fear, since I experienced strong turbulences (you can just imagine what it looks like for the first time flying and having aerophobia), but God gave me the courage and I made it. On the flight back home, I had no fear at all and the flight was smooth and normal. It is an amazing experience and I believe that if I could do it, you can do it too. Just prepare mentally weeks before the flight, ask for support from people who have been somewhere with a plane, and pray a lot. You will be the ultimate winner in the end. I will end my post here with the quote: ,,For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you” -Isaiah 41:13

@@emily-wc7rn mainly statistics.. air travel is suuuuuper safe. The planes are built to withstand more turbulence than you will ever feel in a flight, and there being piloted by people who have 1000s of hours of experience. I dunno it just kinda clicked one time I went. Different mind set too. Think of it more like a ride now.. Just gotta sit back and enjoy whatever happens really.

With me having anxiety, my biggest fear is triggering it and feeling sick to my stomach. How likely is air sickness? I also don't struggle with motion sickness now only when I was a child
@samdovels12342 жыл бұрын
Most of the time of the flight you don't feel motion or anything else, unless there is turbulence (which may be a bit scary but it's absolutely safe), so if you learn to breath calmly and think about how safe aviation is today, you should be much better. Wishing you the best.

Smaller planes manuever faster and therefore you can feel it a lot more. You get the same stomach feeling that you get on rollercoasters when they go down except to a lot lesser degree. So if you can handle rollercoasters you can definently handle planes. Also as I said, size matters so if it's a wide body aircraft with like 400 passangers you really wont feel anything.

So i went on my first flight in december at the age of 34. I had a HORRIBLE fear. Just the thought of flying would make my palms sweat. What helped me is letting the people im flying with, including the staff that i was a first time flyer and terrified. All said and done. It was NOT BAD. Take off is a weird feeling for about a minute. after that its smooth sailing! I am about to go on my 3rd flight this saturday. And even though theres still some nerves (i guess just years of fear creeps back). I for the most part am not terrified and calm

There is definitely motion when the plane “rotates” off the ground. It kinda hard to see in this footage. If you notice when the plane gets off the ground, the people towards the front are higher than the camera vs when the takeoff plane when everything looked straight forward.

@discounto38983 жыл бұрын
It feels weird, you may feel butterflies in your stomach but when you are in the air you should try and calm yourself down. The most dangerous part of flying is taking off, or landing. Most plane crashes happen in the 6 minutes after take off, or the 8 minutes before landing. Once you're in the air it's a lot more safe.

Go to your doctor and get medicine. Benzos will clear that away from what I'm told. It's what I'm going to have to do. Nobody has any tolerance for fear of flying, heights or anything. Always treated like a burden who, "just won't get over," legitimate panic/anxiety disorders

That's the sound from the flaps being adjusted
@billkgeorge3 жыл бұрын
That is the sound of the hydraulics (fluid motor). After take off acceleration, lift off & speed check, the pilots move the flaps lever forward (the input). The sound at the end is that of hydraulics system moving the flaps to higher settings (output).
