i really like virginia as a “villain”, as she was the one villain in the entire twd universe that i had genuine respect for. she defended her daughter for killing someone and separated our group, but her settlements were surrounded by helping people. like she said, “we all want the same thing, we just have a different way of getting there.” she wasn’t a good person overall, but she was definitely the only villain i ever really liked and respected, especially after june saved her.

Martha was no Carol. Now Carol is one women who could do some damage against a group. Case in point- Terminus.

Teddy is 100% number 1 on any list of FTWD villains because of how Manipulative and Dangerous he is,and I really like how they made his character having this ideology his whole life and then Apocalypse happens and it makes his theory right...His character would never have a redemption. Awesome guys!

troy was such a good character

1. Teddy - for sure. John Glover knocks any role out of the park and plays such a good villain. He had such presence and he was a ton of fun to watch play up insanity but also with a heavy dose of charisma. 2 - I'm biased (I was one of her rangers lol), but I really do like Virginia. She had more depth and wasn't just evil for evil's sake. She was trying to keep everything together and was smart, but wasn't willing to compromise on her ideas and frayed when her hypocrisy in protecting her daughter fell apart - she played up that intensity well - especially that smile in your face without blinking style. Other notes : I really like the concept of the Vultures - very great thematic name with circling a community waiting for them to die. It also really harkens back to a mideival siege strategy - which actually makes a LOT of sense, and was used quite a lot back in the day - and when you're in a post-apocalyptic world, pre-industrial war strategies make a lot of sense to employ. It's just no individual Vulture really stood out to me. Proctor John - he had all the makings of a big bad villain, but I just didn't enjoy watching him. There are some villains you love to hate, and with him, I just plain hated him. I'm not fond of the time-skip to get rid of him, and would have liked more closure on that story arc, but I get that the showrunner/series direction changed. I genuinely don't get the appeal of Troy. The blatant racism angle just put me off of him from jump - killing border-crossers and dehumanizing them, plus the struggle against the Native Americans for control of the ranch. The pirates were a good villain for character growth at the point in the main characters' journey they encountered them. I think that's where we saw a BIG change in Alicia - it's strange thinking back to her as the girl who fell for the boy over the radio. It was a great reality check that it wasn't just the walkers who were dangerous, but also people. And while I'm not ranking most of the villains, Martha would be at the bottom of my list, too lol.

You guys forgot about Emile, the bounty hunter, he's definitely in my top 3 list, but I do agree that Teddy was the best Fear villain ever and I wish he lived for another season too

Compared to TWD villians, the FEAR villains are like Scooby Doo baddies

They should have pulled a "Chinatown". Dakota should have been Virginia's daughter AND sister.

Ray McKinnon, who played Proctor John, refused to return to the show after what happened with Dave Erickson. Chambliss & Goldberg approached him to be the villain that took down the stadium but he turned them down and said he'd never come back. There was an interview with Erickson some time after he was pushed out where he hinted at Proctor John & the Proctors being our "long-term" threat until possibly the last season. Apparently we were going to witness Madison, Nick, Alicia, Strand, Daniel and Troy team up against the Proctors and take them down if he would've stayed around. Would've been killer to see them sabotaging deliveries and attacking caravans.

I think I could just get my Top 6 villains together, since most if them are too short lived or so badly written into the story that they don't even qualify for a Ranking. 6. Marco Didn't have that many appearances but it was really cool to see mexican drug cartels take over since they were armed and organised even before the outbreak. He also had a soft spot for his sister which made him more human but he also killed a child without a problem. Not the most complex character, but he felt organic in the Story taking place in Mexico. 5. Proctor John Again way too little screen time. But the actor stole every scene he was in. He was so menacing even as he was stuck to a wheelchair and probably lead the most dangerous group in Fear apart from the cult in Season 6 maybe. He also built a deep connection with our Main characters in just a few episodes he was in. If I could change anything about Fear, then I would let the third season end after the Ranch was destroyed and make a whole other season on the damm with John as the main villain. There we could have more time with those great characters that we got from season 3. John, Troy, Walker, Crazy Dog, Pickaxe girl. All of the things that felt rushed at the end of S3 would feel more tidy i.e. Strand being a traitor, Alycia being Johns First Lady, Nick protecting Troy from Madison and Daniel. So much Potential and storys left to tell! 4. Teddy More screentime would be great for the villains so far. Teddy was easily one of the best characters in TWDU. Very well acted and the best thing about S6 were the few episodes Teddy was in. His crazy yet calming Aura, his goal to get rid of this rotten world with rotten people (literally and figuratively) was really well made and his ability to play with your mind to get you on his side. He was amazing! Now to the greyer characters that to some wouldn't even count as villains but for me they challenged the main cast in more interesting ways than just guns and number of people. 3. Jeremiah Otto He was a racist, always drunk, abused his sons and would get everyone killed if it means he can keep his pride. And I absolutly loved him. He felt like such a real character. While I don't agree with his point of view on many things, I can see his point and why he does certain things. He also wasn't purely evil. He took the Clarkes in his home, helped Nick get over the loss of his girlfriend and helped him to build his home and repaired and gifted him a sick looking revolver. He also wanted to make up for destroying Troy in the old world and be a good father. You can clearly see that he tried to be better with Nick and also Troy. But in the end he is still a bitter old man that "wouldn't even piss in his enemys mouth if he was dying of thirst". 2. Qualetaka Walker For the first half of Season 3, Walker was the main antagonist. He shot at the Ranchs Helicopter and killed Travis. He used Ophelia to poison the Militia, he was brutal and ruthless when Jake was trying to make peace between the Ranch and the Pony Warriors. He literally tried to take his scalp when he brought them water as an apology. He also took the shoes of the Militia and let them walk for days in just their socks and also cut open an old mans head so that he was still alive when the crows where picking out his brain. But he also tried to be a better guy when he took over the Ranch. When he lost everything he still helped Madison to get to safety and rescued them with Crazy Dog in the S3 finale which was such a great ending for his character. The conflict between the first people and the americans was something new in the zombie genre which is one of the reasons I appreciate the first 3 season so much. They are full of creativity. I hope Walker is still alive somewhere out there. 1. Troy Otto When I first saw him, I wanted him dead. But my opinion of him changed nearly every episode. Soon we find out, he is similar to his father Jeremiah and once we see how he was treated by him as a child, you can't help but feel sympathy for him. At least I can say that I understand how he feels even if that doesn't excuse all the people he killed. He is a cold blooded sociopath and a killer. But after Nick showed him his place after destroying the Ranch you could feel that he had changed for the good. And this time for real. He warned everyone of the damm attack, indirectly apologized to Madison for destroying their home and was just the best bro for Nick. I understand why he was killed off. Madison reminded Troy of herself as she was also abused as a child. Notice how she argued with him and first swung the hammer when Troy said: "I would do it again". This was the moment that Madison made her decision to protect her family. He would have made a great addition to the main group after S3 though. There he could be the "substitute" for Nick and give Madison like a second son. He was easily the most complex and one of the best written characters even when he appeared for just 1 Season. The cool thing with Fear, is that in the first Seasons there were no clear Heroes and Villains. Espacially our Main Characters were mostly grey, fighting for their family or pure survival.

One think I love about Teddy is that he actually suceed with his plan, despite the fact that he dies, he fucking launched like 10 nuclear bombs. Now we are going to see the secuels of that apocalyptic disaster that he bringed. He just set up what is goin to be the major issue in this characters lifes for quite a long time.

You guys always forget that Troy basically killed Travis. Or at least there's a fat argument there, we found out that when he was in the helicopter he was already bit. Why did he get bit? Troy threw him in a pit with walkers. Definitely a bad guy.

If you like the actor who plays Logan you should see him in the Orphan Black series.

Great video! 👍 I always felt the actor who played Troy Otto would have been a good choice to play the Commonwealth Sebastian. I envision that guy being able to make you hate him, perfect choice. Similar characteristics.

Teddy is definitely number 1, he literally nuked Texas. But other villians are really hard to rank. I think Virginia was more dangerous than you think, she had no problem with just killing you and terrorize your friends or family, she was worse than people realize. Troy was just sick, he was dangerous, but not real villian, you can just hit him to the head and problem solved, no real villian. Dakota was very dangerous because she looked innocent and you realize who she really is in moment when she kills you, but also she was not real villian, she was just confused kid. Logan was not villian, he just had to do what Virginia wanted from him. I would probably put proctor John on second place and other places, I have no idea.

I like Jarrell's rank better, i do think Dakota was a great villian, she didnt have power but she was so manipulative, Teddy is the best villian but i never liked the proctor john as a villian, i just found much of that arc boring and i was thrilled that it was over, the dam blowing was the best part

tbh atleast i was hoping teddy would see his ending, teddy should have shot dakota like that and then gets his final wish to be blown up to pieces

My biggest problem with Virginia was I didn't understand what her purpose was. Was it just her wanting to build communities and if you didn't want to belong to one of her outposts you became her enemy? It was like our group was doing good deeds and then she started interfering with them. Now I did like it when she was motivated to stopping Teddy and protect Dakota as she knew she was a nutcase. Someone please help me understand her story. Thanks!

AWSOME VIDEO! My list, in no particular order The Pirates were just too amateurish. Celia: they should just have killed her right away, then they could have taken over the place and kept it for a while, because it was a really cool place, they left too soon IMO Troy: he was a great villain, I wish they had kept him around, but I do disagree with you that he would have become "good". I don't think being good was in Troy's DNA Virginia: she was sooooo annoying, and for that reason alone she win the title of WORST VILLAIN The Vultures, kinda poor villains, but what they did by going from place to place and ransacked them was interesting. One would think they must have one hell of a stash somewhere, so how come Charlie never took them to the stash???? Dakota: she had to go, but she was such a good villain I was sad to see her go Proctor John, he was too Negan-esque for my liking, that kind of reign never lasts Teddy: meh, not impressed, this is the ZA I bet a lot of his "followers" never really bought into his ideas, they just wanted to belong to a group

Unfortunately, Morgan didn't bring Carol with him when he left TWD... remember, the flowers. ⚘🧎‍♀️🔫 Liked the list, glad you did it and for the most part I agree with it, other than placings. The Proctors would be #1 or #2, I'd drop Logan OFF the list and I'd replace him with the group I was surprised you forgot... the drug cartel (whatever name they went by) that attacked Nick & Lucy's community in TJ. They'd be fighting Proctor John and his people for the top spot... though, in the end I'd probably go with The Proctors. Both had a small army with LOTS of fire power and no moral dilemma about killing people... the bikers just seemed more formidable. Another possible replacement... I just don't know where to put them and who actually to drop off (maybe, put Dakota with Teddy or Ginny) but, the guys that took off with and eventually killed Chris. Travis knew right away they were bad news, tried to steer his son clear of them but, he had other ideas and in the end it cost him his life because... again, they had no moral compass. Thinking more on it... I'd probably replace Celia with them, she really wasn't bad... just a tad crazy. I don't think she killed anyone or was responsible for any deaths... she was just madder than a shithouse rat, Daniel could see it.

I think Dakota was a great villian, yes she was just a kid but she killed one of the best characters and helped, though she was stopped by morgan easily. She almost took out Strand as well. I thought Zoe nicoletti did an amazing job. How can you put Logan as a bigger villian then her, what did Logan do besides join Virginia, then he got killed as soon as he ran into our group.

Why isn't Emile Laroux in that list? That bounty hunter in the start of season 6? I felt like even tho he's short-lived, he did more damage and impact than the others on this list like the pirates, I don't even remember them to be honest

I really enjoyed the ranking of villain's over the past several seasons on FEAR. I agree wholeheartedly concerning the rank up to the villain but we know that the 2 drooling imbeciles have zero clue about character development. I too agree that it we still had showers who actually know what character development is... we could have witnessed the origins of pretty influential villains. But unfortunately, the characters hadn't really a clue how to create a world for them.

Dakota was worst character in show and Fear and all these child killers is just crazy

It's really sad that the writing for Fear was really slow and boring in the start, and now it's way more intense than the original TWD
