Today we explore an aura voltron build with Feather Radiant Arbiter. Turns out its actually a pretty cool use for this commander.

So a few things: 1) I would not have kept that opener. For starting hands I want mana production and at least 1 piece of card draw. 2) I try to copy auras immediately in the early game, even if it means enchanting my opponents' things (scratch that - especially if I'm enchanting my opponents' things). You figured it out later on, which was good. Each copy powers up Nykthos and Serra's Sanctum, which you saw. 3) since you asked, you definitely punted on the early board wipe and not casting Leave, but it looks like it worked out 4) There’s a lot more removal in the deck than you counted. Not sure if that's one of those differences between paper and online, but a number of the auras are removal spells that can be searched for. 5) I opted not to put in the Skybind combo in this deck, as I've already got it in two other decks. Here it's just a pure value piece. 6) Nice play with the Chance into Blasphemous Act!

Powerstones can be used to pay for the copy ability of Feather.

I tried to use powerstone mana to pay for Ghostly Prison tax a few days ago and Magic Online wouldn't let me. No guarantees that it's programmed correctly

Yeah its got the wheels turning thinking about where I can use them in some decks. I need to look through the powerstone card pool more, but the red outpost siege one is probably a good place to start.

Yay, Teneb! I'm building a sort of Precon lvl battlebox out of all the primeval dragons. Made to just pick up and play. All the dragons from those to cycles are so cool. I just had to do something with them.

First playtesting was actually like a commander game from like 10 years back, but with modern interaction. A little slower then what is the norm for modern times. It was a really fun time altough a bit unbalanced. The Darigaaz deck (who I consider to be the weakest of the dragons in the sense that his abbility doesn't do much) did the best out of the four that we tested (Teneb, Darigaaz, Oros, Rith) overall a good start to a probably very long project :)@@CommanderReplay

I have a deck idea that was kinda shown to me, but not like a list in use type of way, and i would be really curious to see something like it get put onto the channel. It probably wouldnt make for good content though because it would be such a slog and take 9 years to edit, but heres the idea: grand arbiter agustine IV clones. Tax your opponents into oblivion while simultaneously stacking your cost reduction to get massive x spells, similar to Hinata dawn crowned.

Since you made their capsize target no longer legal, the spell fizzled, and buyback says to put it back into your hand instead of grave *as the spell resolves* which it couldnt. Having the mana to double flickerform was the perfect answer to that exchange.

So who do you like better for aura sharing, Three Dog or Feather?

They fit different play styles. Three Dog works best in an aggro build, whereas Feather lets you target your opponent's stuff with your own auras. I could see Three Dog being a stronger deck due to mana efficiency though (only costs 2 to use his effect, whereas Feather is 2 for every copy).

Looks like they've said they have no intention of bringing Fallout set to MTGO, but I think you're asking the Boros Angel guy if he likes the Boros Angel or the Some Dude. I think both seem pretty obnoxious to helm in paper. Three Dog is specifically making tokens of copies of things that are no longer on the battlefield and potentially attaching them to piles of tokens. That's a tracking nightmare for me. Learned my lesson with Cathar's Crusade.

I havent played Three Dog yet, but on its surface it does appear to be stronger than feather since less mana involved. That is almost like a true Zada but boros aura voltron IMO. It does seem cool for that. I do have a soft spot for feather as both being the boros angel player, and Feather being the 2nd most played commander on the channel, but aside from that I thought this was a great take on a commander that makes you scratch your head a little bit. So feather more unique, three dog probably a big stronger.

I was running Gift as part of another aura-based combo, and ultimately took it out as I wanted the deck to care about casting auras more. There's definitely a version of the deck that could support more of a sac value theme though. It's also why Faith Healer is still in the list, though at this point I think I should take it out for Koll or something like that.

Yeah that is the key to this game sadly. I am fortunate enough to have a handful of duals from way back in the day. Best way to play this game is with a time machine.

Yeah the new art looks great. The ability is strange, but does seem to work really well for this aura voltron deck.

@CommanderReplay Other issue is the best Auras already cost a lot. So spending an additional 2 per copy is bad unless it's drawing me cards or winning me the game. Lol
