Күн бұрынHello My Buddies!!! After 1 month of using the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra - our first #robotvacuum - I’m here to share with you my thoughts on this vacuum and mop robot. Because it’s the most expensive cleaning robot in the market at the moment, I was excited and curious to test it and see its capabilities. Can it go up my ½ inch inlines? Where will it get stuck in my home? Will it fall down the stairs?

Cleaning Recipe:
-1.5 L of Clean Water
-1.5 L of Distilled Vinegar (5%)
-5-8 drops of peppermint essential oil (or any essential oil)

@roborockglobal i got 4 s7/s8 in total, every one of those got after 6-12 month lidar tower problems, disk not spinning anymore, roboter stopping working completely. also 2 got a phantom bumper stuck error when it wasnt. maybe fix that :)

FYI the word "Lidar" is pronounced with a long "I" - rhymes with "EYE". as in LIGHT detection and ranging. LIGH-DAR. Very complete and useful review, thanks!

I've watched dozens of these videos to narrow down which robot vacuum we should get for Christmas and yours was the ultimate best for being so clear and informative. I just rewatched it during using it the first time and appreciate the time and effort that you put into making this video😊

Thank you for your detailed video on how to setup the Roborock s8. The app doesn’t explain alot of things very well but you covered pretty much everything I could possibly think of on how to set it up and get the best out of this

love roborock i had the s5 upgraded to s7 if you have a pet you'll be amazed how much the vacuum picks up. i did not think my dog shed that much atleast based on my regular vacuum but the robot vacuum was more thorough or better at getting hair out of carpet.

I love the way white looks, but thought that it would show the dust on it more. I agree with your thoughts.

Actually black shows substantially more, dust is generally light colored grey to tan in the spectrum. As any person who owns a black car. I own 3 a a California Duster is required equipment in each vehicle the only real issue with white plastic is tge tendency to yellow with aging unless it has uv filtering properties.

When I saw that white carpet, I had visions of that chocolate coffee goo getting spread over it... wouldn't be good.

@@kimandtech the only thing that pushed me towards it was the fact the dual rollers lift in the mop only cycle and the only better thing I liked with the ls10 was the automatic cleaning solution bottles. Roboroc omo cleaner is so hard to buy everywhere is sold out. Never seen any other reviews doing their own mixes

What is the "ls10 automatic cleaning solution bottles"? I looked it up but I cannot find anything on this except that "Automatic water and solution adding top off your robot with the proper solution/water ratio to make the floors throughout your home gleam." So it ratios and mixes the cleaning solution for you? Yeah, I don't recall much or if anyone doing their own mixes either during my research. I don't think water alone is enough to clean the germs and bacteria on the floor, but I don't like chemical that much if I can avoid it. I read the Roborock manual and their FAQ's page and the major concern they have with any cleaning solution is clogging the openings of the water tank, docking station and robot for when clean water is distributed into the robot or dumping it out to the dirty tank. That's why I thought of distilled vinegar (5%) since it's already diluted and safe for cleaning, and since Roborock's cleaning solution has tea tree essential oil, I know that essential is ok to use. Sorry for the long explanation. LOL 😂 FYI - and if you don't like the S8 Pro Ultra, you can return within 30 days. 😉 If you do get it, I hope you like it as much as we do. It has saved us a lot of time, and we just need to go back for some areas that a need extra elbow grease. 💪🤣

Very good video! I ordered the S8 Pro Plus and have been watching videos as I wait for it to arrive. I have the S5, and it's 5 years old and still going strong. They are well built; I am just moving it upstairs, and it will replace my E20, which is also 5 years old and going strong, but I wanted the no-go options upstairs now. It was fun to watch your video and learn about what is new and what you didn't like etc. I am not getting the Ultra, but it's mostly the same robot, just only the self-cleaning dock.

Thank you so much for the kind comment sharing your experience with other Roborock models. Glad to hear about their longevity because it's hard to find products that last nowadays. Since you're getting the model without the self-cleaning dock, do you do anything special to keep the vacuum clean/sanitize after each clean?

@@kimandtech I do not use it for mopping, just vacuuming. I mop my two hardwood floors by hand. The S8 Plus has a self-empty bin, so now I should not have to do much except check the brushes a few times a week, empty the dust bag when needed, and do a light cleaning of the robot occasionally.

@@kimandtech Not really. I currently have to empty the dustbin on my S5 every day. So doing a quick check of the brushes is no big deal. Once my new one gets here, Hopefully, I will not need to check it more than once a week. The S5 had some design flaws in my option and requires more attention the newer robots are much less hands-on on which I am looking forward to. The only reason I did not get the Ultra was I could not justify the 799 dollars more. :) The self-cleaning mop is very appealing. Maybe next time.

Why do you empty the dirty water into measuring cup then into sink.....? Surely, you could just dump into sink....m

It’s to show how dirty the dirty water is. If I were to dump directly into the sink at first, the visual may not be able to capture how dirty it is. 😁

No, I did not. The robot is still getting software update every now and then for bug fixes or performance improvements, so I wouldn’t recommend blocking it from the Internet completely unless there’s a need for it.

One question, why the hell would you not dump the dirty water down the toilet instead of your kitchen sink. Totally unsanitary and discusting IMHO

Good question! I clean my sink entirely afterward if I dump the dirty water in the sink. This was more for video because it was easier to record. Completely agreed, it's super unsanitary.
