Would be interesting if we get to choose a Chaos God depending on our choices. Like the moment we maybe meet some Word Bearer sorcerer we will get to become a cultist of a God we were drawn to through our evil choices.

For me it was Elden Ring and this, Elden Ring was worth all the hype, I have no doubt this one will tickle me for hundreds upon hundreds of hours too :D

It's an amazing setting: there's a very good video on here from a guy called Bricky where he introduces the universe if you're interested. The main thing to know is that everyone is a bad guy, including you; the "Imperium of Man" which you ultimately serve is a xenophobic and intolerant tyranny, and the aliens they're trying to genocide (and demons they're trying to hold back) are no better. There's no scientific or technological progress because so much knowledge has been lost, so you're just trying to maintain centuries-old tech. Basically it's the dark ages and you've sided with Nazis because they're fighting against Cthulhu. The phrase "grimdark" literally comes from this setting.

Same! I know of W30k, but I never actually engaged with its universe (although I am a big fan of the Age of Sigmar universe)! But I adore Owlcat and their games so I am grabbing this game as an introduction as well! :D

​@@phueal I'd say they're more like a big European empire like the British, Spanidh, German, Russian, Portugese, Austro-Hungarian empires etc when they were at their height except if they were also crazy religious fundamentalists who to be far regularly encounter monsters that truly do look like the devil. Like the Imperium as a whole does not particularly care whether or not a person is European, Black, Asian, Middle Eastern, male, female or even a bizarre supspecies of humanity like the ogre like ogryn or the hobbit like ratlings, so long as the individual is a religious fundamentalist who is a loyal servant of the state given that the undying God Emperor rules over the one and only human galacic empire called the Imperium. TBF if someone is going to worship anyone in a setting where all religions are wrong or non-existent, you might as well worship the God Emperor since if any human deserved worship it's the guy who's had to rot away sitting on a chair while always being mentally active for 10,000 years straight. If the Emperor eger falteres then the vast majority of human space travel and interstellar communication in that universe would instantly stop working.

This game is too heteronormative and patriarchal, it lacks enough non-cisgender characters, it is not possible to establish polyamorous relationships and not to mention the lack of representation of ethnic minorities: Where are the black people? Where are the Latinos? The irony is that the only truly empowered woman is an ultra-conservative religious privileged white woman. In this game they all seem to be xenophobes, attacking all aliens, this being a message from the fascist extreme right in the form of an allegory to go against the multiculturalism that enriches us as people. We must cancel this game and this company, they're offensive AF.

The Voidship was like its own self-contained horror movie. Never gotten that cinematic feeling in a computer game before. Certainly not an RPG.

Maybe they could add them in as a quest in a paid DLC where the group needs to fight a bunch of weird aliens. While I dislike superfluous DLC like eveyone else, it'd be worth having a DLC campaign that featured the main characters fight somw enemy alien types that are not included in the main game.

You can start as a Psyker. No info on augmetics for your character yet. There will be much more ship upgrades, system just unfinished yet. You get quite a lot of companions from the get go, but eldar and space marine are hard to get and come later in game which makes sense.

I can almost guarantee the answer is yes , it was shown that at the least falling to chaos has different party members .

100% going to be in a DLC, so far main story is about Chaos/Eldar/Drukhari/Necrons mystery of some kind, not much space for Orks.

Yes to both. The Alpha already had ship parts you could purchase or loot (though they didn't do anything) and a basic planet management system.

Its in Koronus Expanse - literall ass of the Imperium, its so remote that only Rogue Traders have real power there.

Its a space wolf, they can tolerate a xeno ally if the fight is epic enough.
