Went to Rochester this morning for their bi-monthly siren test as I said I would last week. After some debating, I decided on this 2001-DC, which was relocated from another location to this one about a year ago. There was some construction going on near the siren, so there is a lot of background noise throughout the video, but I don’t think it is anything terrible. About 3 minutes after 10AM, the zone southeast of me was activated, followed by the one I was in about 40 seconds later. This DC was incredibly loud, and sounds pretty healthy for its age (almost 30 years). I will hopefully be returning to Rochester a few more times this year. Thanks for watching, and enjoy!
Sirens in the City of Rochester are tested on the first and third Wednesday of every month at 10AM April-September, weather permitting. From October-March, they are tested on only the first Wednesday for a shortened 1 minute test.
