Federal Signal Thunderbolt 1000 - 3 minute attack test

First full length run of the restored Thunderbolt 1000 in The Rock, GA. Siren is originally from Norman, Oklahoma and was built in 1963. Siren was completely restored and installed by Mccranie Warning Systems of Rhine, GA.

This is awesome. It has perfect Thunderbolt attack timing and doesn't do that odd hiccup that most 1000's seem do during the wind down

This is just a TBolt 1000. It sounds more like a very loud horn than the common dual toned one.

Well you are missing quite a bit, I've seen videos of 8RPM thunderbolts doing attack dual tone and single tone

I think this was its very first test so thats why it did 3 minutes.

Sounds to me like chopper level 6. And it's rotating at 4 RPM. So it's not the fastest, but it's fast.

It uses the same chopper as a model 2, it's basically a model 2 that rotates

That's what a Thunderbolt is. A rotating Model 2 with a compressor (Blower) to make it louder.
