What about Toronto?

1- so they are going to replace gas burning buses with buses that will need gas fired power plants to charge them 2- they can replace all the buses they want but they will still have mass amounts of emissions from the oil sands productions 3- everyone on Earth can get rid of their cars and replace them with electric cars and it still will not make a dent in emissions. The top 100 CO producing companies emit somewhere around 85% of the world greenhouse gas emissions. It would be far easier to regulate the top 100 companies but no govt does. Until they have drastic cuts in their emissions there will be little change.

This will be a failure just like it has been in every Canadian city its been tried. The cold weather makes the battery run time next to useless except for very short routes and only for a few hours.

Meanwhile, China continues to pump out record amounts of CO2. Which means all of Calgary's net zero efforts are pointless as China's CO2 output will massively outweigh any savings.
