The head of an audrey 2 like that one isn't very heavy its made of a lightweight foam and frame that can be manipulated quite easily the tricky part is to get the movements to sync with the voice actor

The puppeteer also puppeteered Audrey II in the 2003 Broadway Revival. The puppet is designed by some of the people for the National Tour. The voice was done by someone coached by the guy who performed Audrey II's voice for the movie. (RIP to both, Maxx Mann and Levi Stubbs.)

It's not gonna be as good. they're gonna use CGI for the plant and it's not gonna look as good as puppetry.

CGI will never top the original puppet in terms of looking real,but I still have hopes for the other parts of the movie being good

@@invic564 because they controlled audrey 2 very well. puppets of those size tend to be on the heavier side so it’s most likely required to use their whole body to operate it properly and that quickly.

as for where they keep them I’m not sure whether you mean at the company (I’m not sure) or at my school but either way the answer is probably with TONS OF ROOM TO MOVE. How they work? The first puppet in grow for me is a simple hand puppet that the bottom comes out when you put it in a table with a little hole in it (easy to understand.) the second puppet is operated by Seymour in ya never know, it has a fake hand that you connect a sleeve to, and Seymour operates it during the number with his actual hand. The git it puppet in this video is basically a bench inside a pot. The mouth is the hands (clap hands above your head and that’s how the mouth works) and those little vines are the puppeteers legs from inside. The fourth puppet (the BIG one) is more complicated. The back is how the whole thing gets lifted to basically float, it’s a pull down that’s counterweighted on the main body. Inside the mouth is basically the same system to move the bottom jaw (the top jaw would take too much energy and you only make it talk when it’s lifted so it works out well.) I’m not personally in the puppet so I’m not totally sure on how the inside of the last one works, but from what I can tell it’s basically two bars you pull apart and the eating people part comes from a little opening in the mouth. On closer inspection, you can see a cloth with some Velcro in there. Once somebody gets eaten, it’s opened and they basically slide through and go out through the back of the plant. And that’s basically it!

@@tigerpippy237 just try to memorise all the plant lines and watch the person who is doing the vocals to see how they are doing it and try to capture the emotion through the plant! just have fun with it! i really enjoyed it
