Using a belt's surface-area to enhance grip is pretty slick.

There are belts on market for PCB conveyers which are approved for such electronic use ….

My 3D print was with PLA for this prototype - a bit of bending of top wall is there due to belt tension needed to roll trigger the SMT tape … 1.6mm PCB could be used for vertical side wall instead of 3D print…

As reliable as your controller would be! If you look at GrabCad drawing you will find a LS triggered by 2mm span on belt groove - 2x2mm is needed for 4mm hole to hole distance on tape. …

@@Mike4_friends ahh I didn't realize the design was on grabcad! Also didn't see that switch! very nice! but I guess not so easy to ajust the switch to react to every tooth of thebelt?

@@wolfganglienbacher It’s easy - just remove the lever and use only the switch head to touch the belt
