Well, in a way. It's also what makes the world ugly though: that these babies are traumatized orphans of mothers murdered for pure greed by humans.

My deepest gratitude for everyone involved in the selfless caring of these orphans. It's outrageously stupid that we humans, as a species as well as a civilization are still mentally living in the distant past when we had no awareness of the consequences of our actions. It's way past the time to save ourselves by saving the planet from ourselves.

That scene of the baby trying to wake its dead mother (1:19) tore my heart out! I'd have NO problem shooting any poacher who was a threat to elephants. There are 8 billion humans overrunning the earth -- we do NOT need more of us!

I've been to this orphanage! It's open to visitors (for a fee) for one hour a day. I think it's a good system cause they raise money by tourists visiting and buying merch without it feeling like a zoo as it's just for one hour a day.

I realized stress kills animals much faster than humans it’s incredible to see the caretakers giving emotional care and support for the trauma in addition to the physical needs

Incredible people working there. Whoever they are, whatever they do, each person is vitally important to the survival of these poor babies. It must be a heartbreaking job at times, too. So I'm in awe of their emotional strength, which they need to pass onto the babies. Everyone working in any rescue centre in the whole world, you are amazing. Thank you.

I am so glad the Sheldrick Trust continues on, even though Dr. Dame Daphne Sheldrick and David Sheldrick are no longer with us. I thankful to all the conservators and keepers for ensuring these wonderful animals make it through their early lives to become members of the wild they come from again.

I donate to two elephant rescue/sanctuaries AND local food banks. These cover animals and humans...all worthy endeavors. If we lose another species then we lose another link in our circle of life.

Thanks to the people of that organization caring for these baby elephants! Also, this video highlights until we also focus on why poaching still occurs (i.e., poverty, miseducation, hunting, etc.,), we will continue to see these babies separated from their families.

There should be a link here to donate to the Sheldrick Elephant Foundation. Without everyone donating they wouldn’t be able to do this and these baby elephants would die. Sheldrick has had 50 wild babies born to elephants they raised and reintegrated into the wild now.

This is specially beautiful and necessary in life. I love people who spread good actions and vibes around the world. I went to an Elephant Sanctuary in Phuket where they rescue threatened elephants in Thailand.
