Great video! I was there in February and while I didn't see large groups like this, one of them chased me and my wife around the golf course looking for food.

I just got back from a vacation on a Cancun resort and we had these guys alllll over the place - but the resort also warned us to NOT FEED THEM. Which makes sense! They're very cute and we loved seeing new wildlife - but people, please listen when they tell you not to feed the wildlife. You're disrupting the natural balance and you're conditioning them to become dependent on humans feeding them. Not cool!

Just wanted to add, that this is a great video nonetheless. I hope I didn't come off as a jerk in my comment!

Well it's the least we could do after clearing out their home and food source to make a resort🤷♂️

I don't know if I think they are cute or just really strange looking. They are so short and their tails are so long & erect. so funny looking ...it's kind cute. are these ones all babies or younger ones?

They are sweethearts, people whom rehab injured ones say they love to interact, are highly social, they love to cuddle with their human caretakers too. They hang out in groups hence they like lots of positive interaction with others. Wonderful animals. I like raccoons too!

Brandt McCall oh, that's cool. well thank you for the response.

***** Your welcome, they are really lovely animals, with nice, curious, dispositions. When orphaned or injured, they need lots of interaction with the rehab, caregivers as this is how they relate in their groups, they are not solitary animals rather highly social.

This resort is now closed due to coatimundis overruning it looking for more white bread.

Do not feed wild animals. They are cute; however, a big bunch of them used to be fed could create problems, especially with children. They do bite and scratch.

Know this is too late for these people to see, but you are doing something extremely irresponsible. Feeding wild animals is bad for them ,as well as dangerous for you. Please pay attention to the signs which are posted in most resorts and parks.
