I have had multiple snakes my first being a corn snake and what I have learned since then is that in a larger cage than what the snake needs you should but a lot of hides like 3 large hides a few small ones but I would stay on mice 🐁 cuase rats could change there diet if you decide that your feeding her too big of mice 🐁 and you should support her head middle area and the tail don’t just let her dangle otherwise it could cause a problem xxx 🎉 lovely cage setup

My daughter's were watching this and I felt as a fellow snake owner I'd offer a couple tips since you guys seem to love this little guy. 1 rodent about as big as their largest point a week is plenty for juvi balls and that will go less as they age Snakes pray reflex should almost always kick in unless it's sheading or there could be an issue, which brings me to my next pointer, bedding. Thicker more fibrous bedding like Cyprus mulch us probably ly the safest bedding for ball pythons. Coconut husk is also great to add for moisture but be careful to not let bedding mold. The smaller bedding will get on the mice and stick and it's not the best thing for the snake as this can dehydrate them severely depending on the bedding. If you do stick with the bedding you have I would feed in a separate enclosure like a tub with paper towel. With that being said it's best to not handle the snake 24 hrs before or after feeding. This is just a husbandry tip that helps ensure the docility of the snake as it matures it will be less likely to mistake feeding time for handling time when the activities are so different. Ensuring the eating of as little non prey as possible will help reduce the risk of binding. So if you feed in tank don't wet thaw the mice so extra bedding dosnt stick

Absolutely beautiful girl. I have 2 ball python...and they are super sweet, but I've been around snakes my whole life. She can easily go up to weaned rats. My youngest is just now 6 months and he's on a frozen thawed weaned rat 1x a week. The extra nutrients are needed at this stage.
