Hi! I've been watching your vlogs for a couple weeks now and I've been looking forward to them every day, also, I'm not affected by any chronic illnesses but I love your vlogs, I found them completely randomly and they have taught me a lot about chronic illnesses, which to be honest I know nothing about. Thanks for being funny and always staying optimistic, thanks for teaching us! Lots of live from France!

Although I am not diagnosed with any Chronic Illnesses, I do suffer from Mental Illnesses like ADHD, Bipolar Depression, Anxiety, and OCD. These videos always make me smile like the "I said it!" and "I said it louder!" at the end was funny. Thank you Jaquie for making these daily videos. They're very informational, I always get excited when I get the notification you posted! Have a great day.

Does it kind of feel like something is pushing from the inside? I also get a sharp pain to the left. :/ We talked about possibly trying a bigger size, but at the same time it seems to fit really well. Gosh, it is so hard to know!

Chronically Jaquie that's the funny thing, mine always seems to be a perfect size! But yes I get pain above my feeding tube sight but it feels like it's coming from inside, not my stoma. Usually when that happens I call my clinic and get it changed. After getting it changed, it's sore for a few days, but feels immediately better!

Dear Jaquie, I want to say thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart, for posting daily vlogs and staying strong. I've been battling with depression and anxiety for about 6 years now. It's a rollercoaster ride to say the least. Sometimes it seems like my mental health is back to normal when all of a sudden I'm back to feeling worthless and my mind starts racing with suicidal thoughts. This year has been such a struggle for me and something happened recently that made it all seem so hopeless. At that moment, I found your channel. Watching you stay positive no matter what comes your way amazed me. How could someone with so many illnesses that limit their everyday life stay so positive? How do you find the will to live? And through your videos I see why. You have an amazing group of people that love and support you, life is too precious to give up on, and God never gives us battles that we can't handle. Thank you Jaquie, for giving me the strength to want to live life even through the hardships. I know that my mental illnesses are NOTHING compared to your physical ones. That's why your perseverance for living life makes me appreciate and not take for granted all the things that I can do that you don't get a chance to do on a daily basis. Even then on horrible days like the ones you just had, you find something positive to focus on to help you carry on. Now I'm confident that when a bad day comes, instead of crying and feeling like a failure, I'll get to say that I got through it and celebrate all the victories of that day no matter how small they are. I'll be praying for you and thank God for people like you on this earth 💕 Sending love and prayers from Texas ❤️

Harlow was keeping a close eye on that helicopter, lol. I love that you can laugh at yourself and sometimes the issues your illness brings. I had to learn that myself. I will loose grip on something but with my fibro it doesn't always go down. Sometimes stuff just randomly flys across the room, lol. I would just look at my coworkers and say "don't mind me, just throwing stuff at you again" and laugh it off.

+Chronically Jaquie When you braved the rain and referred to it as 'braving the elements', it reminded me of when I was young and couldn't say a certain word and would say 'elements' instead. I thought that you could swop it over, strangely, (I have an infection at a my worst time of year during a bad relapse of most of my conditions, and a really really bad relapse of a main one!). The word I couldn't say is something that you like, and therefore would be both a good fit for you, and might also bring some brightness/positivity something that you are less keen on. So, when you see rain or weather you dislike, you are: "braving the elephants!".

Jaquie, have you ever tried corn/rice bags for your pain? You heat them in the microwave and they hold the heat well. I usually prefer them over heating bags (especially when I have a bad stomach) because they have a good bit of weight so they stay where you put them and you don't need to press them against the sore bit. You can also go to sleep with them bc they slowly cool down, unlike a heating pad. They're less helpful if it's your back that bothers you unless you can lay on your stomach but it's aces for neck and shoulder pain (or cramps or nausea). PS: I prefer corn bags... they smell a bit like popcorn when heated and it's kind of comforting. PPS: I'm sure you could find them on Etsy if you were interested.

I was going to comment about this the other day because I use those for my neck and lower back pain and I enjoy them a lot. But I did think, mine starts to get cooler after about 5-10 minutes. Maybe not cool but not as hot as I want it. And that would mean more trips to the kitchen, which might be difficult for Jaquie.
@DScritchy
@DScritchy 7 жыл бұрын
Allie Wilson; Are you using rice or corn bags? I've always had corn bags (grampa liked to feed the squirrels with cobs of field corn skewered on huge nails driven up into the branches of a tree. When he passed we found sacks and sacks in his garage and my aunt started making the corn bags) and I think they may hold heat better. I found you really need to heat them well to start with, like almost too hot (if I really need it to last I'll heat my large one for at least 7 minutes on high) then you can put it over clothes or a blanket to tone down the heat. As it cools you can move it closer to your skin. Mine last for a good 3-4 hours that way. It may not last forever but it's much safer to sleep or nap with than an electric pad which can potentially cause burns.

I know this is months late (but I've just found your KZfaq videos, and am plowing my way through all of them, trying to catch up!!), but I've had GJ feeding tubes twice now, so I would like to share the info I've learnt from both times (I've got one in currently) with you in case it might help. The abdominal pain you're experiencing is something I feel quite often too, and my mom (who is a doctor) told me that it is probably muscular. You have to remember that even though it is only a small incision, its still cutting through muscle and organs, and therefore any movement will tug at the wound. Unfortunately there isn't much that helps with the pain, though I try to stretch my torso as often as possible to alleviate any tension in my stomach muscles. You've probably learnt all about this by now, but I thought that it wouldn't hurt any to inform you anyway. Also, about venting? You're doing it right, as far as I know. I vent whenever bile or stomach acid builds up, or when I can feel that things aren't "going down" well.

Have you considered using wheat bags instead of heating pads, or maybe along with them? The downside is that they need reheating more often, but the upside is that they mould to your body, so they're super soothing. I haven't tried it, but maybe you can put the heating pad behind the wheat bag so that they don't need reheating...

With my feeding tube, I've had pain there before and it ended up being the balloon that's keeping the tube in place rubbing against my stomach, so it caused an ulcer. I had to put carafate in the g port and let it sit there for a little to help it. Carafate is something that coats the stomach. But hopefully it'll get better!

Hi Jaquie! I've really enjoyed watching your vlogs! Normally I wouldn't comment but I'm just a little concerned about you adding erythromycin into your medical plan. What you and your doctor decide is obviously your business but I just wanted to mention that I'm a doctor of Audiology student and therefore I'm pretty familiar with drugs that can be potentially harmful and damaging to your hearing and/or vestibular systems. Erythromycin is an ototoxic drug that can cause decreased hearing as well as tinnitus (ringing in the ears). It shouldn't be too much of a problem if the use of the drug is short term but it's something that you should certainly be aware of and monitor if you do choose to peruse that route. I hope all is well during your adventures! - Jess

Jacquie, what kind of bras do you like that are gentle and don't bother sensory and pain symptoms? Or are pasties the solution? Jw, if you don't mind...I have some of the same chronic illness issues as yourself.

Hey girl! Do you feel run down more around the beginning of your cycles? I'm new to your channel, trying to catch up. I'm showing symptoms of POTS, and my symptoms are always so much worse around then. Love your channel. Sending positive healthy vibes your way from flooded Houston.

I'm just wondering and would like to ask you something. What would happen to the remaining nutrition cans if you have a lot on hand but have switched to the new nutrition formula?

Hey 😊 I've been following you recently, and I don't know if you mentionned this before but I have a question: Can you drive (with someone/alone) ? Or is it too dangerous ? Love your videos btw 😁♡

Hi I have several illness. I have Cerebral Palsy and hydrocephalus and Turner syndrome and Gastroparesis ( I think I spelled that right). Do you know of any cooking books that will help me be able to eat more. My husband is trying to look for some. My cerebral palsy which is a muscle disorder and has to do with my brain, their are days when I'm in so much pain that I can't even use my walker. It sucks. My hydrocephalus which water on the brain which I have VP shunt that drains the water for my brain and keeps me alive and sometimes that hurts as well. I have a cat who was trained like a service dog and she can sense when my legs are gonna give out cuz my CP and she can sense when I am have a asthma attack. I love her. Seeing you push your pain to get things done really motivate me to keep trying and pushing forward. So thank you so much for the vblog.
