Yep - the term “pensioners” generally refers to people who are receiving a pension or who are considered old enough that you could expect them to be receiving a pension. OAP is an acronym for Old Age Pensioner, because the state-funded pension given out in the UK doesn’t kick in until you’re about a hundred and bloody ten these days...

It's always great to see your reactions- I get to see Jimmy and enjoy your reactions- twice as much entertainment. One of his heackles about his laugh was "you sound like a sexual predator"! Jimmy's only comeback was to mock the woman's accent!

I think most would consider it a quintessentially Irish show, not just because of the cast/creators but because of the content of the show, a satire of Catholicism in rural Ireland. The IT Crowd I wouldn't defend in the same way even though it was created by Linehan too.

No. the show was called Telling Jokes. He literally says the line "feel free to heckle" near the start of this video ffs. It was a set up to his joke that he gets £20 every time someone heckles him, because tickets to the show were £20.
