Here i show you guys my kayak set up for my FeelFree Lure II. Also give my personal review and give you some insights on what needs to be done things you must know about my kayak. Please feel free to ask questions and comment on things i did not cover.

I have the same Kayak and I love it. The only downside is there is no storage underneath. Wish they could have put a bigger hatch on it. For me and my wife it has been a great investment. I highly recommend any Feelfree Kayak.

Nice setup I’ve had my lure II out a few times with my small sons and just ordered the overdrive system paddling this thing with only one person paddling is a challenge.

Yes it is, that's why I went straight for the overdrive system

For the price of these they should come with locktight and the correct Grease in the drive.....

Hey there! Great setup! I was wondering if you could go into detail on how the steering works and how you ran the cables? I didn't see the blue bungee that I've seen in some of the installation videos. Thanks!

The steering is as simple as left to right with the 8ball steering system. But i cant tell you about installing bc mine came installed and ready to go. Sorry. But then please do call Joe at feelfree and he will answer all your questions on the installation.

I'm in the same situation.. wife wants the tandem.. worried tht it might suc goin solo over sum of the other solo yaks.. more solo vids plz. And I see the new v2 lures hve a diff rudder set up but don't think they hve changed the tandem yet..but anyways good vid.. subed

Nice video! Could you please let me know how did you mount the "fit kit" or 90 degree plate on your sonar pod while? Also did you actually have to ship back your overdrive???

The sonar mount is bolted onto the feelfree accessory mount. And because i only lived 2 hrs away from feelfree i drove there to get my problems solved. And it's been great so far.

How do you transport this monster? By trailer, by kayak roof kit, etc...?

There is supposed to be a third grease point on the other side from the two you showed that is just forward of the left pedal.

No more, I recently bought a native slayer. Pros are; very comfortable seats and super stable even with two people, takes on waves pretty good, great customer service Cons: very heavy, turns heavy/wide, hard to get up to speed, the drive system is too heavy, had problems with the steering, paddling the kayak is very hard especially with one person

Hi, just wanted to know how is the stability on it and do you go offshore with it or in a bit rough water and lastly just wondering if you can change to another or better overdrive system and if so which one? Thanks

The stability is really good especially riding solo and with two people it's decent and a bit rougher with two grown adults lol. I've never been offshore but the kayak did great with boat traffic and wind on a big open lake. For the overdrive system you can purchase an electric motor that goes into the system itself. And I've seen people on KZfaq putting a trolling motor into the same spot as the overdrive system does.

Hi there, great kayak and setup, got lure 11.5 v2 and plan to get overdrive pedals, how did you find yours, did it improved, or still hard to pedal them? Thank you

I bought mine with the overdrive system. I feel that it takes a little bit of work pedaling my long 14 footer but then i know ppl that pedal their 11.5s like it's nothing. It definitely helps especially when you're going out a good way. Did a 5 mile trip and i was just fine. Planning to do a longer trip next time

That anchor for the pedal drive is all that holds it in place?

There is also a plate in front of the pedal drive to hold it also.

Not really, peddled through the choppy water with crazy wind before a storm wasn't bad at all. Now when a boat comes by too close just be sure to turn the front towards the waves, don't let the waves rock you

@@laujkiatong I've been seriously, seriously considering a pedal kayak but it'd be nice to take my little cousin on a tandem. There's a used Feelfree Lure 2 for sale in my neighborhood for $3500 but I really want something very stable like a Native Titan or a Big Fish 108 because of the scary weather and boat traffic. What to do what to do...
