Hey! Come with me into the City for some Christmas shopping and a trip down memory lane, whilst getting my wedding jewellery cleaned 💍 and reminiscing when ‘disposable income’ was still a reality 😂, with the cost of living crisis in the UK, gone are the days of opening a gift of diamond earrings 🎁🌲 But regardless of how big, or small, your Christmas budget is, family, and making memories, is what’s most important and of course, Christmas (window) shopping never hurt the bank balance!

If it makes you feel special wearing the diamond studs, then you should wear them often. You’re not getting any enjoyment leaving them sitting in the box! ❤

Have you thought of having screw backs put on your earrings? They are lovely and you should wear them! Our hands do age. I am sixty-seven years old and mine are so wrinkled. Yours look beautiful still. As wives and mothers we have busy hands. The best advice that I wish I had done is to wear rubber gloves to wash dishes or while cleaning. I just discovered your KZfaq channel this evening. I have been enjoying your videos so much. I've always wanted to visit the UK, but haven't had the pleasure yet. Thank you so so much for your lovely message 😊 I think you’re right about wearing rubber gloves, it’s something I wish I’d been more careful about, I’m always cleaning, often with chemicals and bleach, and I just never gave enough consideration to my poor hands! Your message has really prompted me to start being much more careful, so thank you, I think us -slightly- younger ladies can learn a lot from those older than us…🤗 And thank you for all your lovely compliments about our home, it’s so kind of you 🌸🥰

I cant remember seeing that part of Leicester when we visited a few years ago. It looked lovely and quaint. The italian coffee shop looked right up my street.

Ah yes! It’s just a few minutes walk from the main shopping area, but feels so much nicer, more independent shops and little nice places to eat 😊

What a fun video, to take a trip down memory lane with your jewelry! They are all so lovely! I don’t wear my diamond earrings very often because I dress so casually and only wear them for special occasions. I loved the trip through Leicester and the shops you visited. When i was in London a few months ago, it was the first time I’d seen T.K. Maxx. Here in America, they call the store T. J. Maxx. I’m not sure what there’s a difference in name. But all the Christmas ornaments are so beautiful and festive, like you said. We don’t have such beautiful ornaments here in this part of Colorado, so this was a treat to see! I hope you’re enjoying your new job. 😊 Linda

I’m sure my husband wouldn’t mind me flying back over for a quick shopping trip! 😉 We were traveling in southern Colorado today and got about 3 inches of snow. It was beautiful and not too cold. Back home now and not any snow! Surely, we will have more soon. I hope you’re staying warm too, in your beautiful cottage! 🏠☃️🎄

I'm too paranoid to let any big diamonds out of my sight, much less be taken away for 'cleaning'. I don't wear diamond earrings every day, but I feel confident about not losing them if they have screwbacks.
