Very interesting and catchy arrangements which fits in all the right places ,the arranger didn't over crowd or over do it which made it very clear and exciting to listen to. Well done ,Duvone. You were in a class by yourself last night. 🏆

From the very start of preliminary round I knew this band was going to walk away with crown. I really love to enjoy the music of pan especially when you can understand every line of the tune. Well done

Stalin wrote this song for his wife and she had the honour and privilege to honour him dancing with the winning band. Oh I can just see him smiling with pride. Well done Renegades

I get goosebump listening to steelpan and especially watching the players perform. Nobody and I mean nobody does steelpan like Trinidad and Tobago, so isn't it time that Trinidad promote steelpan with gusto around the world. Anytime steelpan is heard, seen, or even mentioned, the name Trinidad and Tobago should immediately come to mind. The powers that be seem to have totally forgotten that not too long ago a bold-faced man tried to patent away our pan. We are a tiny island with this mighty instrument that everyone is claiming as their own, but the country of its birth gets no or just a passing mention. You come into the main people-port of entry in Trinidad and there is not a trace of anything steelpan. The people who are running the airport should be ashamed of themselves. This instrument should be celebrated, revered and reclaimed by Trinidad because it is utterly ours. Steelpan should be visible year-round at the airport, but especially at carnival time. Welcome us home with our greatest invention.

Oh wow this is just an absolutely amazing arrangement! No matter how many times I listen I get goosebumps every-time! I’ve been playing the steel pan over here in the UK for my whole life and it’s my dream to one day be able to witness a performance such as this. I love the renegades they definitely deserved the win with such a great song. Stalin would be so proud and I bet his wife felt so honoured to be able to see that! RIP Stalin. ❤

I think they definitely have the recipe for winning. The right tempo, you can hear the tune being played throughout the performance, the key changes are always just in the right place and not too much and always memorable.

Is there a particular reason why most bands are playing old songs, is it because the present crop of songs and music are not up to standard?
