The 109 Z-1 quickly became my favourite multi role fighter after getting it a year ago. Those MK108s hit hard once you get used to aiming them. A great interceptor too

Ah I had a fun encounter like that yesterday. A 109 was chasing my wounded P-38 and gaining, a friendly P-40 flew in and pulled his attention. Rather than running back to base I turned and made a run on the 109, who had to pull off the P-40. Then the P-40 swung back around and got him, very satisfying. Too often the guy who gets 'saved' just runs away, sad.

Dora: pulls enemy below Smigol, to double team them. Zero: pulls enemy towards low flying teammate to sell them out in "you don't have to run faster then the bear, you just need to run faster then the other guy" fashion. Who knew that that would lead to different results, huh?!

ah the 109z i recently got the plane when it was last on sale and ive always wanted it and i very much enjoy it.

Between twin unicorns of US, Germany and Italy you might start believing that strapping two single engine fighters by the wing to make heavy fighter might be the good idea. But for some reason there's only these 3 examples I know about.

I had a real good match like this once before, 2v7 against japan with a 109f4. The dude in the 109 was level like 19 and was clearly new to the game but man was he disciplined. More disciplined than like 99% of this game's population baiting and switching with me against zeros

Man I really can't get over how your aim is so fantastic. Great video

Some planes require some v. basic teamwork to get out of bad situations. In case of Fw 190, the scenario of "enemy on my tail, too little separation to turn around, too little speed/climb difference to make a difference" all it takes is 1 friendly doing a pass and forcing a hard dodge, to essentialy turn a stalemate/my eventual death into easy kill and subsequent cleanup of the lower flying rest of enemy team. But if there's no teammate to approach for help, then it's often GL HF, I can reverse plenty of planes in Fw 190, but Yak-3 and La-7 with some working braincells will mop the floor with my plane and I-185 on the tail is pretty much capable of following through almost any maneuver too (the difference in turn rate is v. small, but I-185 beats Fw 190 A series in all performance metrics).

I remember when people used to side climb and you’d have spits and 109s duking it out at 5000m, bombers weren’t just a way to loose silver lions and could semi-regularly win matches if coordinated. Now it’s just about getting into the fur-ball at 200 meters and the match ends within 4 minutes

I love how the prop spinner is correctly modeled, its not the case with the bf109 G6 and the F series because it does not show the spiral of the skin rotating correctly, Gaijin should correct that.

Loving the P-38J. I've gotten used to the relatively high repair costs, and I almost always get two kills every match at this point. Bomber hunting is my go-to strategy since I spawn midair and can climb quickly enough.
