Fela of blessed memory. When he sang against government then Nigeria people said he is singing under the influence of weeds. All his prophecies about Nigeria and it useless government from 1966 is what Nigerians are suffering now. I wish fela was still alive from Obasanjo down to Buhari won't hv come rule again as civilian president. The lifeless Buhari hv turned democracy to dictatorship. Fela called Buhari a crazy man before and now he is a crazy and lifeless president in Nigeria. May ur good soul rest in peace Fela ( Amen ). Listening from United States of America

I'm so happy Fela is getting recognise world 🌎 wide and his music is gaining ground. It's a testimony that his struggle for Nigeria was not a waste. This is a great reward to truly honour Fela. I never knew his promoter and fans will go this far to promote Fela to the world at last. Only Nigerians and Ghanaians knew Fela during his reigns. Most African countries knew nothing about Fela back then, and it had to be mentioned. Thank goodness for social media and effort to re introduce Fela to the world.

I'm 22 "African-"American" from Houston and Jams Fela on the daily, his music touch me in a place the music most of my peers listen to dont. This is revolutionary soul music. What I'm trying to say is Fela didn't die in 1997, he is still alive today and will continue to live forever. Black Power first then the rest of humanity next. When I say black power first I don't mean it in a we are the most superior race type of way, I say it because I am a black man and I have to take care and represent my immediate family first before I can take care of my extended family. long live Fela

do you know that africa has 90% of genetic diversity of whole planet? that means that ppl of neighbouring tribes most probably have less in common genetically, than ppl from 2 cross-europe countries. all you have in common with the majority of africans is just skin tone. they are you family more or less but pretty same way, as any other ppl of the planet. biologically speaking. but mb you speak about "cultural family", then it's your call ofc. mb you really into african culture, idk

Fela's music is timeless. Its structure is so that the more one listens to the same pieces the more complex they become. This music is trance inducing, it grooves, then it opens up to a vast expanse of images and ideas. They are like sermons wrapped in ritual. Call and response, solid base lines, shifting rhythms and the avalanche of the brass section. Fela was a genius.

I saw him perform live in Takoradi (Ghana) Up to date I still listen to his music. He first saw the picture with Africa politicians but we did not understand him. Africa is endowed with all the wealth on this earth but, our politicians are very greedy and corrupt which Fela saw the light but we did not get him, which is still our problem why should we be poor and beggars My heart bleeds Fela was a real music maestro honest and intelligent. May he rest in peace. Amen

Mah'n dada Kojo, I get angry every time we say "the politicians" also "we the People and those (bad) politicians!" . Those politicians ARE people! 99% of those who curse them politicians is going to behave like them , do what they do, even think as one of those politicians, if he/she gets on power! 99% . So when I hear "beautiful country, nice people but those bad bad politicians..." Im close to puke out!
