Felicity Huffman is breaking her silence after spending 11 days in jail in 2019 following the college admissions scandal. In a new interview with ABC 7, the "Desperate Housewives" star reflected on her involvement with the criminal case in which wealthy parents were accused of using fraud and bribery to get their kids into elite colleges. It was a move Felicity now claims she felt like she had to do while working with organizer Rick Singer, who was sentenced to more than three years in prison for his role in the scandal. "It felt like I had to give my daughter a chance at a future," she claimed. "And so it was sort of like my daughter's future, which meant I had to break the law." Felicity had paid $15K to have her daughter's SAT score falsified and she reflected on what went through her mind the moment she drove her teenager to the test. "She was going, 'Can we get ice cream afterwards? I'm scared about the test. What can we do that's fun?’ And I kept thinking, 'Turn around, just turn around,' " Huffman told ABC 7. "To my undying shame, I didn't."

But you’re basically telling your children that they’re not good enough on their own without your help

She waited this long to speak about it and that is what she had to say!!! You are an actress Felicity make us empathize! You did not.

But if you had to go this far to scheme and scam to get your kid in this school, obviously she wasn't smart enough to get it on her own. This was piss poor decision making and bad parenting and she just taught her kids that in order to get by, you have to cheat. And leave black folks out of your mess this is all on you! #RichPeopleProblems

She spent only 11 days in prison? A black mother went to jail for 5 years for lying about her address to get her child into a school in a “good neighborhood”. Make it make sense please.

Ouch, this is parenting gone wrong-if you stoop so low that you feel you have to break the law for some “imaginary” social status card.

So she 'had to break the law' to 'give her kids a future'. Did they not study at all for their exams ? Did you not raise them to work hard to get the career they want legally some parents it's shocking what they do for bragging rights my kid is schooling at so and so it's so silly.

Are you kidding me? This is the best her publicist could come up with to say publicly? Then to compare what she went to with what minorities and the poor go through and even worse, was just dumb. Her entitlement is showing and this just wasn't good.

There are many potentially morally justifiable reasons for breaking the law, but "I had to cheat to get my idiot daughter of privilege into college" is not one of them.

She paid the price with JAIL TIME and PUBLIC SHAME & who knows what it cost her regarding getting roles (she's a phenomenal actress!), with relationship with her daughters....but folks just can't get enough of punishing her more...GMAFB!

She isn't remorseful at all and is still trying to justify breaking the law. What's with the "nothing new to the black and brown community" comment? This interview is comical.
