freckles are considered 'imperfections' and i believe the company would cover them up and that may have made Felix also insecure about them, as he used to not like them. But the boys always called his freckles cute and we stays loved them, so i think the company noticed and allowed his freckles to show more. Now idols 'make' freckles for concepts, so i think slowly they're being 'normalized'.
