Samuel Spears here's the way I see it. everyone hopes their education will improve their lot In life somehow. money, position, Lotta reasons. feminine studies implies that by studying male female interactions, they get paid for suggesting and implementation of control structures, replication of desired traits, elimination of failed traits, etc. and we are often trained to respect degrees, and expertise, and defer to them. thus, they get tons of power, although not directly. lots of behind the scenes stuff. back when we had a working g eco only, people would promote generalists to management quicker than technically skilled folks. the belief, maybe the reality was that an English major,or som.ething similar was a better leadership prospect for a large department than an overspecialized techie. so the women's studies thing is a way to bypass hierarchies, and grab power as a n advisor.

And they often end up working in company HR departments, since they aren't capable of anything else. I hope we see your scenario acted out over and over, where the feminist HR department passes along a feminist applicant, and the applicant gets thrown out along with half the HR department.

I'd be very surprised if most businesses haven't long since caught on to the fact that certain "degrees" + high debt are rock solid indicators of a person who will not be an asset to the business. Large corps with infected HR and top-down culture notwithstanding.
