Phew, took a while. I wasn't sure if I'd hear, "Boo, you suck!" Thank goodness you got there. Had a gig this weekend and did the burp thing at sound check. All right, onto the serious stuff... I have a friend who has a LP Standard and literally said to me, "I don't feel like I deserve to play it", so he was going to sell it. Now, the Les Paul lover in me was going to buy it, but instead, I said, "Dude, we're reached a point in our lives where we deserve nice things. Doesn't matter, and you're not taking food or candy from a baby. Enjoy the things you've worked so hard to obtain." I'm happy to report he's keeping it. Love the Strat, love the shirt, love the channel, love the jokes!

It sounds like a dream and IS definitely worth the money, I am really glad for you about it. I was always overseeing Strats quality as I'm more into Jackson and Caparison but you are kind of opening my eyes here. Cheers!

Victor Litz sold it as a demo for $1,400 and Reverb had a 15% off St. Patrick’s day sale. It arrived without a scratch or imperfection, and it’s the best strat I’ve ever owned as well.

I have the poverty pack Bullet Strat FSR version in shell pink, but it's still dreamy to look at, and not a bad player at all. Btw, you should be able to access the truss rod without taking the neck off, by just removing the pickguard.

Beautiful guitar I just sold my shell pink players series with a maple neck Looks better with rosewood IMO Have a happy and safe 4th my friend

A mint guard is another non-'65 feature, they had changed to a plastic that didn't turn green by '65.

You know if you make that pickguard opening near the truss rod nut bigger using an inexpensive file and replace the stock truss rod adjustment nut with a $7.50 Stewmac "spoke wheel truss rod nut" you will have super fast and easy truss rod adjustments just like on the EVH and Music Man guitars. I promise you that spoke wheel nut from Stewmac is the exact right thread pattern and length for the fender you are holding. Even if this mod sounds intimidating do it anyway (or have someone do it). It's the best mod guitars like this have ever received. You'll thank me later.

@@GearGasms A decent luthier should be able to do it for you for like $25. Just buy the spoke wheel and buy another pickguard that looks like the one you have on there now and drop those off with the guitar telling the luthier to cut the access notch into the new pickguard. That way the guitar can be easily put back to original should you ever want to sell it.

I picked one of these up silly cheap a while back and I can tell you they're damn nice ! Mines blue, and to be honest I'd rather have the pink one, but the price was more than right. It bends like crazy - all the gilmour I can handle. And man does it sound sweet ! Still i think I'm gonna put some custom shop 69's in it 'cos they are the sweetest of all imho. They are worth it if you can afford one.

SWEET Strat! Sounds great, too. Great video as usual. I have a Jackson with the truss rod under the pickguard - I cut a little of the pickguard away so I have access, but I didn't cut it as cleanly as I should have and it looks kinda dumb. Probably should have just picked up a pickguard with the notch already cut. If they make them? Then again, I almost never need to adjust the rod on my American Strat neck.

Thanks Alex! I have a shell pink Tele too in fact and it’s a beast as well. It’s an Am spcl with Texas Special pups in it. It may look dainty but it’ll tear your head off lol

@@GearGasms yeah I had an American special which I tried make sound good but I sold as well as a Tele shell pink thinline cme special but it wasn’t my vibe. I finally found a 2004 Les Paul Standard with a nice 60s neck and killer burst which is more me. And when I go, since it’s my daughters birth year and month too, it’s more special for her. Cheers

That’s a completely different beast with compound radius neck and noiseless pickups. It’s a matter of taste but that one, other than the neck, wouldn’t be my thing at all

@@GearGasms no that’s the ultra you’re thinking of the pro ii is just 9.5 radius satin neck, vmod 2 pickups with s1 switch and a sculpted heel

Guitar is beautiful. Nice playing but the production of the set is too much pink Reminiscent of a Barbie house. The guitar deserves to be presented on its own on a black orientated background. Cheers

I have a 2021 Original 60s and yes it is incredible. This is a terrible review sonically. It's hard to listen to people who can't play guitar do demos.
