Yes. Even the technically most gifted virtuoso needs an Instrument adjusted to his/her taste in order to play great. I mean, just give Steve Vai his EVO guitar with the action adjusted to that of a funk-player and see what happens. (Not meant as a knock on Vai. He is a great player.)

How does wood has headroom? I love EJ, but I really don't get it...
@134SASAKI
@134SASAKI 4 жыл бұрын
His "headroom" is just an analogy of things. Don't simply take it. Sassafras is a relatively soft wood, so it may have flatter acoustic characteristics than ash. (Since the sound has relatively few peaks, you may feel more headroom.) Yes, I believe tonewood affects the sound of guitars. Even on electric guitars, because I believe in my experience.
@EVH_5150
@EVH_5150 4 жыл бұрын
@@134SASAKI I believe that tonewood can affect the sound of electric guitars too, in the sense that it can produce more highs, mids or lows, having more "attack" to the note or more "body", etc... BUT HEADROOM?? C'mon...

Id love to see just one master builder shape one by hand and a matter of fact ill bring my tools and we can do them side by side and see who shapes what by hand... Does Lance Keltner shape fake les pauls by hand Eric ? or is he just building fake dumble amps now ? I gotta catch my breath from laughing so hard. Now See Allan Will told me George Fullerton told you both in front of Leo that was spruce .. Now its Sassafras Come on now lets get real.... You remember when I was shaping them by Hand Eric ? You should I bet Lance Keltner remembers he destroyed my business...See I dont forget a thing.. Ask Scott Lentz about Keltner If you recall Fender sued Lentz that kinda blew up in their face didnt it While Keltner was having Lentz crank fake after fake out ... Fender sued Lentz on account of Lance Keltner that should bring your memory back at 10,000 miles an hour. The ones that hand shaped guitars Eric were driven out of business when that happened someone picked up that phone and called Legal at Fender you got a good idea who that was now ? Ask Scott Lentz about hand shaping fender guitars for Lance Keltner and you can ask Tony Nobles about the fake les pauls he was making and selling right there in Austin Tx Keltner was having them made and selling them You remember Lance Keltner dont you Eric ?
