Recorded a little loop for selling my Fender MIJ Strat.
Signal Chain:
Strat - Strymon Compadre (gentle compression) - Ibanez TS Mini - Iridium (Round/Cab C) - Strymon BigSky (Plate) - Boss RC30 Looper
into Focusrite 2i2 in Logic Pro

I have one as well. I like it ok, but my pickups sure don’t seem to sound as crisp as yours here. Great playing btw 👍🎸 cheers

i have one too. your right the pickups arent as bright as i would like. but still good

Have you lifted the pickguard and checked out the electronics? Would be great to know if these use CTS Spec parts and what kind of pickups they have?

I have one. They are alpha pots, alnico 5 pickups 6k

@@friededms Another question if I may: how do you like the nut width? According to Fender, it's 1.615" opposed to the usual 1.650". How's it compare? Thanks!

Quality is excellent! Playability is absolute top. If it would be an american model it would cost way more.. like 1500-1800€.

@@friededms I was thinking of selling my silver sky SE, because I want a real fender so I can not only play john mayer but also eric johnson sounds without being limited under that mayer crisp tone, how does the U neck shape feel against say a regular Modern C

I now have a Partscaster with a c shape neck and i liked the u shape a bit more because it was a little thinner.. it's all about personal taste ;-)

I don't really remember but i think it said "thin u shape" on my MIJ Strat..

Hey if ya don't mind me asking what did you pay for this Japan Strat and is this considered a low end strat ...

i bought it slightly used and selfimported from japan for around 1k€. It's defenitely not low end in my opinion, it was a great guitar, although i don't like poly laquer that much. Everything above 1k for a bolt on neck guitar like a strat u could possibly just buy your own parts and build a custom strat yourself. I did that and paid 1,4k€ on my current like customshop strat. Plays and sounds amazing, aging and nitro laquer. Aged parts. Would probably never pay more for a strat then ~2k. More than that is mojo brother 🏄🏽‍♀️👍🏼
