Great demo.As far as the EVH sounds the tone master is much better than the thin Axe Effects comparison!

I have to disagree there, I preferred near the end when I got the tonemaster brighter but hey it’s all preference! I’m sure you could dial in some more “beef” in the axe too 🙂

That lamb of god tone you created was on point 👍 I would be running with the 4CM method and a peavey 6505+ amp and physical cab most of the time. I notice there are 4CM presets in the tone master pro.. is this the mode to use if using the fender TMP as standard individual stomp boxes to colour the real physical amp tone? Also does the fender TMP have the abilty to switch chanels on a physical amp, green chanel to red chanel on the 6505+? Also when using the FX loop of the peavey 6505+ can i send the usual OD effects/ wah/ compressor before the pre amp and then delay/reverb/ chorus FX in the FX loop. My thinking is to have my rig set up to run with a real amp/cab and also have a secondary full digital rig set up which would be as close to my physical RIG sound as possible to go to the front house PA if cant use or take my real physical Amp/cab.

Nice review! Would you perform an aliasing test (sine sweeps into high gain presets, listening to artefacts, probably the most intuitive way) and compare to axefxIII ? Thanks :)

Great idea, though I don’t have an axe 3, just a 2. Also I have no idea how those tests work and as scientific as they are, they are no fun 🤣

Bonjour, lorsque je branche mon casque (DT770 Pro) directement dans le TMP, le son des presets n'est vraiment pas terrible. Votre casque est il connecté directement dans le pedalier ou branchez vous le pedalier dans une carte son (ou autre) pour arriver à lire les presets correctement. Merci

Just a tip: turn the AUX output off..it increases the noise floor a little. A well known phenomena document in forums.

This thing is very nice. It sure has made Helix users butt hurt though. The next Helix better be all this and profiling otherwise it’s going to be a disappointment.

IMO the current helix already has this beat just by having a built in expression pedal, though I haven’t actually reviewed one yet

You don't sound Canadian, but that's alright. I played through one of these for the first time today. I really like it a lot, but a lot of tweaking of the presets is necessary. But all these modeling units are that way.

All these videos of solo guitar. Play in a band context and see if it holds up. At band volumes. Helix QC Fractal Kemper Tonex all do. Time will tell.

I tried it in the mix with lamb of god, usually I would do a full original song but this unit lacks any bass tones :(
