I use Ligusticum Poterii (Osha Root), which is also in the Parsley family and found throughout the Southwest, for energy and immunity boosting. It is an expectorant, that dilates the bronchial vessels, allowing for better oxygenation of the blood. I assume that this was one of the primary reasons for the consumption of this plant (Spring parsley) as well by the natives out on the trail who needed to remain alert, in sufficient quantity it'll have you literally buzzing with energy. I use it on night drives for this reason.

Awesome. I’m reading a book right now about the Apache called “ Indeh, An Apache Odyssey”. It’s so fascinating.

Those grow around here. I share your wild plant passion. So I ate these, as my friend told me they help allergies. The leaves are good beans spice. Seeds too. That darn root makes me so sun sensitive, I burn up. But Im a pasty bellegana, lol.

Could you lay samples on a background for contrast? More often than not I'm looking at surrounding terrain instead of the sample being discussed.

i was hoping you would give better views of the plant. i still don't know what it looks like. lots of yellow flowers out there, but if the plant was put up close to the camera, maybe i could have seen it better.
