the blotting powder isn't a translucent setting powder, it was made to be used when you start to get oily or shiny and bringing the foundation back to its original finish

It was actually created to be used before and after applying the foundation, and throughout the day. Not only when you get oily or shiny.

The powder is not for setting your makeup. It's meant to absorb oil through out the day just like the blotting paper!! Thanks for the review

Thank you for being one of the only reviewers to mention and explaining the oxidizing "issue" everyone's been talking about! Also, loved trophy wife on you it brought out beautifully your yellow undertone but probably a little less would've been perfect like you said 💕

I see a lot of people using the blotting powder as setting powder, but I was told that it's just blotting powder, like you can't use it to set your makeup, or rather you're not supposed to? idk

I feel the *total* opposite with foundations!!! GO LIGHTER because you can always bronze up!! It's so much harder to lighten up once you've got a demarcation line

Omg yes defiantly noticed the star on your tooth, so cool!!! This video legit has me, a girl whose not very into makeup, ready to ge up and buy these products right now. I love your channel and I love Rihanna, so to hear an amazing review really has me convinced that this is the time for me to finally get into doing my own makeup. It is something I've always loved but am a tad to lazy to get into, idk where to start or if what I do is good on my face, but if I'm going to start anywhere it'd be with Rihanna and her apparently really amazing products. Thank you so much for this review it has me truly convinced.

The blotting powder is suppose to be translucent which means it's not meant to have any colour pay off, its meant to blur pores and matte any oiliness

The blotting powder isn't supposed to be used as a setting powder hence the name. Blotting powder or blotting sheet. You only used it if you want to take out the oil thru out the day.

the trophy wife highlight looks very odd to me because it's so gold, it looks like a shimmer eyeshadow. is it for dark skintones?

Lysca -- I thought the same!! It also looks a bit odd with the lid color :// the flame crystal highlight looked way better and it was way more subtle (in a good way) while the gold just stood out too much. I feel like on someone with a bit darker skin it would look amazing though!

Lysca it is meant for a darker skin tone however people with lighter tones can use it as an eyeshadow.

Am I the only one who isn't really digging Trophy Wife?? Like on any skin tone? Idk I just feel like it's straight up yellow with a bunch a glitter :/ I bought her highlight duo in "girl next door/chic freak" tho and i love it!

morgan omg i've been watching a bunch of different reviews of people with different skin tones and (at least to me) it doesn't look very flattering :/ it's a beautiful color and looks like it'd be an amazing eyeshadow but it doesn't look like a good highlighter so no you're not alone!

i feel like it'd be very good on dark skin tones. reds, yellows, and oranges usually do; they also look good on white and lighter skin tones, but things like this highlighter would look better on darker skin tones. my skin is the palest, and i feel as if it'd just look like i fell on the side of my face in golden dirt. just my opinion though, i'm sure it looks good on people with light skin tones also.

morgan idk if any of y'all actually saw it on someone in person because I felt the same way at first and then I saw it in person on my very very very pale friend and then she pit it on me and I absolutely loved it on both of us. Basically what I'm saying is it's f*cking amazing in person and yeah its super pigmented so if you are paler you do want to go lighter with it but it does looks amazing on all skin tones

A lot of people are saying that Trophy wife is too intense yellow gold but because they are creamier than most highlights, you should probably blend it out a bit with a beauty blender otherwise it might look like a giant streak and I wish she had done that in this video. It's definitely not the same pressed powder situation like the becca highlighters or Anastasia glow kits where you would just swipe w a brush.

Karen love this video! I think you mixed up the portable brushes though, the angled one is for the universal blotting powder and the short bristle one is for contour and highlight with the match sticks!

Fenty Beauty ❤️ Kimberly! It really does because it is the only foundation I have found that true looks like my skin! I also have dry to combination skin and after wearing it for a day, it looked like I had just applied. Definitely, a must have for my makeup kit.
