The amount of fair skinned people buying Trophy Wife as a highlighter surprised me too. I saw it and immediately thought "Well that won't work but I'll try it as an eyeshadow."

So basically what you're saying is I'm buying the gloss.

Yessss!! Finally someone who knows the difference between a foundation "drying down" and "oxidizing" Ive learned so much about make up and techniques from you and i trust your reviews. This one is no exception.

I am so glad you pointed out the dry down vs. oxidation!!! So many people didnt understand what oxidation is and were trashing it for "oxidizing" but it wasn't oxidizing! It's basic chemistry

I agree about it being better for oily overall. I swatched a bunch at Sephora and while I am going to give the foundation a try, but the other products are sooooo dry. I mean, I love me anything Rihanna does, but I am more excited by what this is doing for the beauty world, rather than how I can wear it.

I have been following your videos for a while and this post really made me want to give you a shout out to how much I appreciate what you do and the advice you give. I feel like you are one of the most real people (I have seen) posting makeup related videos on youtube and you aren't afraid to lay it all out there. I appreciate that you talk about products very objectively. If a product doesn't work for you, you don't immediately write it off as bad. You suggest that maybe another person, different from yourself, might be more suited for it. I feel like you really do your research with products and are very well informed with everything you talk about. I love that your makeup routine has become more natural as well and you are able to talk about the challenges you are going through. Thank you for this. I bought the foundation and trio but upon wearing it for two days I realized it wasn't for my type of skin. I have dry to combination skin and this products doesn't give me the finish I need. You are the first KZfaqr to actually speak on these issues.

Finally!! I'm so glad to have found someone that shares my views on this line. I've seen many videos about this foundation on other people with dry skin and they say they love it. Huh? I also have dry skin with some texture and that foundation on its own looks terrible on me. It's so powdery and settles into my fine lines and that is only with one pump sheered out with a damp beauty sponge. I've tried multiple tricks that I know to help boost moisture, but the powdery-ness in the foundation wins every time. The matchsticks, I agree, way too stiff and don't blend out well. The powder highlighters are pretty, but they're powder and they can easily settle and highlight texture. The gloss was my favorite, for sure, and goes with me everywhere. As a chapstick addict, I MUST have something slippery but not sticky on my lips at all times and this is not only beautiful but super comfortable and pretty at the same time.

I just bought the gloss today, and I am in love too! I wasn't going to buy any of the Fenty line, but I was only kidding myself, clearly. I am actually intrigued with the blotting powder. Trophy wife would be better suited as an eyeshadow or body highlighter for this fair gal. I also want the peachy/pink highlighter duo as well.

Sam! I know you love mixing foundations, so I wanted to share my fav combo. It's the Fenty foundation with Armani Luminous Silk. Since they're almost the same texture, all it does is increase the coverage and add glow! Thanks for this honest review :)!

I was experiencing that with the moon one as well in store so I went with trophy wife bc it was just so unique and couldn't wait to use it over lip colors or shadow but I actually love it on my skin tone.
