Thats my issue with the foundation especially the darker shades. Im 440 in matte, but its orange and people say it was neutral [???] when it launched. I've seen neutra and itsnot neutral.

Exactly!!!!! I'm 450 in matte and... it's so orange I don't even wear it anymore. Only fenty products in interested in are the lip glosses.

I have a video correcting the Fenty shades when they first launched. The tones were very red. They fixed it after two reformulations but this went right back to being too orange

I find foundations for dark people are always so orange. They’re going to have to start selling blue colour correcting drops with it lol. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anybody, who’s that shade of red orange.

I have not brought another Fenty product since the fist one came out. The fact I had to mix plus it did horrible in Miami heat. I stop buying all these high ends when maybeline has 3 shades I can pick from. At the end of the day we paying for the name. Nyx, L’Oreal, and most drug stores foundation are great and hold up well here in Miami.

As it was drying/setting before you added the Haus Labs it did seem to be oxidizing to a better match than it was when you first applied it. I do not like the way most of the fenty foundations are so orange and how they oxidize. The end result was gorgeous though!!

I have such dry skin and it made me look GREASY in like 4 hours. It has very nice coverage but immediately looks shiny. And I like dewy finishes but something about this doesn’t look natural-like if you used a ton of highlight shimmer underneath.

Shades are very off for the soft lit as compared to her other foundations. I definitely recommend that everyone swatch even if they have a shade that works in the other foundation products. I did manage to find my shade (I'm a 440 in the others - it was very orange - got color matched in store and wear 445 in this foundation). I'm enjoying it, but I think I got lucky.

Yea I returned this too unfortunately. The whole 400 range needs adjusting. I’m usuallly 420. I tried 410, 420, 430 all orange. Very disappointing since I was excited for the hydrating relaunch.

When you get the 498 please do a swatch on your chest, next to the 495 and the Haus labs foundation on the upper part of your chest, just below your chin.

I must admit that with you it is all in trusting the process and listening to what you are saying. At the start I thought that one of those shades would definitely work. Then I listened to very carefully as you added the shade corrector. After which you applied the Haus Lab and boom 💥, I saw the brightener under your eyes and around the mouth. SKILLS 💯👏🏾

The 400s range in this is a complete mess, just various shades of orange and red. It’s like an overpriced drugstore foundation, very disappointing.

Honest review in real time. Can’t argue with it. The mixed foundations were perfect. I have my shade 420 and it looks good but a little more “luminous” than I wanted. Definitely had to powder it down more than I like to.

I'm 385 in the soft matte and its perfect. but for some reason the 385 in soft lit was off. I think that whatever to took out to make the foundation luminous make the shade/undertone off.

Same happened to me. I’m 130 in the soft matte and the soft lit is darker and less olive for some reason. I ordered it online which might’ve been a mistake but in my country it‘s hard to see that brand in store.

Tbh I wore the last foundation Fenty foundation like 5 times. The very first alone the other times I added the LA girl blue pigment to knockout the weird orange color then. So honestly I would recommend if you really want wear Fenty foundation try that method. It really works but then there are other brands you don’t have to make work just a thought. The last hydrated formula was my favorite foundation of all times why did she take it off the market I don’t know I hate that she did that because it was a perfect match it was literally my skin tone in a bottle the south

Oil removes oil. This is makeup & cleaning 101 Any foundation that has an oil, lotion in it with the statement of hydration is not sweat proof

Looking at the swatches of the deeper shades there's a big jump between 495 and 498. I think there should be another neutral shade between them.

Fenty did say that the shades don’t correlate with the soft matte. So for example, if your a 420 in soft matte you won’t be in the hydrating formula.

I wish I had watched this video before buying the Softlit foundation. I bought it in my normal shade of 420 and I tested it in the Texas heat on Memorial Day weekend. This foundation is not sweat proof. Even with using a sweat proof primer and setting spray, this foundation melted and streaked. It’s way too much coverage and looks cakey on. 😢 so disappointed.

Texas heat is no joke. I tried it in Texas too, very disappointed. The shades were not good and the coverage was not there. I stick to the matte foundation.

Something I learned about FENTY’s foundation is that it runs so red, even the darker shades are too red or orange. That why I stopped wearing the foundations

I felt it would have worked if you had applied a darker powder over the foundtion. Of course, the finished face looked fabulous but we would have had a better idea of the fenty foundation if you had finished it off with the powder….I can definitely understand your misgivings about the shade though. Fenty shades have mainly been spot-on in the past.

I don’t think the shade range is very inclusive. It’s so so yellow… I tried a so called cool shade and it was still very yellow. I am so sick of all these brands with only warm color foundations…
