noel edward It's reported from Ferrari that aluminum is used in their more volume cars cause they think they can make more out of it than doing carbon tubes. And anyway they claim they can match the weight of a carbon tub. Judging by the specs which beat the 720s in terms of light weight (not much, but it what it is). They are definitely sending that message. Plus aluminum isn't exactly being replaced anyway in other products either non is it an outdated material.

The 458 was the FIRST truely great car as all before were junk! They are no longer at the top of the f1 world that belongs to mercedes another car maker way ahead of ferarri! Ferarri engine's are fragile rubbish! Nothing but mechanical issue's constantly!! They are the masters of elegance hiding rubbish drivtrains! Btw even in Salomondrin video LaFerrari was faster than P1 around the track , and remember 918 is 4wd and LaF stock use less performing tyres( Pirelli Corsa vs P1 Pirelli Trofeo )

It's a great car, no doubt, but it's not a Ferrari. And at this point of the market the only thing swaying buyers between the performante, gt2rs and pista is which brand they like the most, not the numbers they make.

Must Bomb there is no official competition between road cars, Porsche knows it and spend million in WEC Gt3, but they were beat by Ferrari (Porsche win only in 2015, Ferrari Win the 2017 championship and 2016-14-13-12)

Not to mention that every single Mclaren was always beaten by Ferrari, even British journalists and testers always preferred the Ferrari's over Mclarens....458 was better than 12C, 488 better than 650S, La Ferrari better than P1....cry as much as you want.
