Our Ferrari 575 had no documentation of the last timing belt replacement, so we wanted to make sure it wasn't going to blow up on us. I bought a timing belt kit from Ricambi America and while doing the timing belt service, ended up fixing a few other items wrong with the car. Overall it wasn't a terribly difficult process but it does take a little bit of nerves. We used Zerex G05 coolant, and Pennzoil Euro Platinum 5w40 oil.
The timing belt kit is here at Ricambi America: www.ricambiame...

Even though I'll never have the "opportunity" to DIY anything on a Ferrari, I found this very informative and enjoyed watching. Your narratives and explanations are great the editing, like all your videos, are done very well.

Hey Dan if you aren’t happy with loosing timing one your timing belts change a old mechanic told me a trick just cut the timing belt with a sharp knife length wise in the middle off the belt slide the new belt over the same as the old belt when it’s on perfectly the same cut the other half of old belt away and slide the new belts one always works with this kind of belts.greets from Holland 🇳🇱

the belts on that V12 are harmonicly tensioned ; you need to set the tensioners manually until the belts resonate to the corect frequency. that being said ; they are just like any other belt on another car ; as long as they are not loose or mega tight ; the fact we are asked to change them so regularly makes them not really an issue on longevity. ( 550 owner here ) ive had E30s with belts 5 times more millages than ferrari tells us to do it ; and some that where close to 15years old not showing any sign of fatigue ( after inspection and replacement preventivly )
