Ferrari Enzo is the mother of the one of the two greatest track monsters ever made in human history - Ferrari FXX Evoluzione and Ferrari F50 GT. You can actually feel Michael Schumacher's DNA in this car. It's just perfect. Arguably the fastest car in 650BHp range ever made.

Cool Engine Sound

Ive seen one of the 12 black ones in Person 5 years ago at a ferrari dealer ship on Glen Cove, New York. It was the unveiling of the Enzo.

When this thing hits V-tech it’s over!! Sounds soooo fucking good.

on front engined cars yes but the enzo, because it is a mid engine has the radiators in the back. the fan is in the front because that air that flows through the front vents is directed toward the rear radiators

I've seen a yellow one being moved to a transporter at the old Marenello Motorsport complex in Richmond. Unfortunately, they have since moved. Although it wasn't being floored, it sounded amazing.

im gunna have to agree w/ jogga here... just being able to witness an Enzo (even a ferrari for that matter) at full throttle, is something that would make my heartbeat jump to damaging rates... its just such a mean sound of a high-revving, small stroke V12...

@pullmeunder Those cars have 2 stage exhaust systems. They are quite silent below a certain level of revs (to satisfy emission/noise laws), later on (far beyond the testing cycle dictated by the noise laws) they are allowed to bypass the mufflers and blow out directly.

im sure it sounds nothing short of ungodly when witness in person... but i have to agree that an Audi Quattro S1, or even their latest R8 sounds absolutely amazing...

It varies depending on the state. The federal government doesn't control it, but all the states have some kind of annual or bi-annual automotive inspections. California is the harshest mostly because of their smog tests, but none of the states are as tough as the UK's MOT annual certifications.

Now I can agree with you on all accounts, I like both the 6.0 and the lp, but they are different. I like the lp more because it screams, I like the high pitched scream better than a deep throaty grumble ;)

Yes I have, I have heard several several Enzo's one on the streets of Maranello, one was racing around ferrari's test track, several around here central florida. I have only heard one LP640 in person, and Im pretty sure it was a stock exhaust and it was much better than the Enzo. But like I said sound is in the ear of the beholder, I dont like many stock exhausts other people do, G35, M5, F430. They sound to me like a person trying to imitate an F1 car while holding their nose. to each his own.

I agree with you that the F50 and 355 are the best modern ferrari sounds, I would 360cs in the mix. And the FXX, well that is racecar, and racecars no matter how ugly are always cool, and very good sounding at that I heard it was b/c the crank was not weighted to reduce vibrations, making it straighter and somehow freeing the exhaust... I dunno I am not a mechanic, but Racecars almost always sound the best Lambo RGT, FXX, AM DBR 9 - like on the top gear vid... amazing!

All the cars that you have listed are not for the road - Despite that, I still think this thing sounds awesome. Better than a 312 PB and much better than the F40 LM. It sounds like a fucking instrument - Ferrari are incredible.

@bengear1986 thanks man, so higher revs open up the valves for better flow thus more juice i am guessing.....

if i were to buy an Enzo, it will have to be black, what an engine sound, closest thing you are goin to get to an F1 car, unless you own one.

Because the radiators are in the front of the car, no matter where the engine is because when driving normally (forward), all the wind is hitting the front.

@RELOADED0000 The aerodynamics of the car work in such a way that air flow, starting from the nose of the car, is being moved into the side and top rear air inlets at all times. Where else would they put the fan?

@HEADSTOCK7 Hi Ferraris have valves with move inside the exhaust when the car hit's certain revs it gives a more agressive sound, by the way I am commenting from my new profile as youtube suspended my other one for reasons unknown!

I saw a black Enzo at a local car show not too long ago. Think it had straight pipes because it was SO loud.

would the fact that there is no downforce on the car whilst its on a dyno effect the readouts of hp etc.?

@ranicx I know what theyre for, its still overkill. 2 straps in the rear properly tightened would keep it straight with 0 issues. I help operate a dyno jet (Roller dyno) for about a year before we upgraded to dyno packs (hub load based dyno). Weve tried all the ways, cross, straight, multiples, it doesnt matter. 2 parallel straps works just as good as any tightened properly. Even had a mercedes burn THROUGH a strap and was held on by one on the left. Didnt know until AFTER the dyno runs

the fan is actually put ther to imitate the wind if it were actually driving just goes to show how much you know
