The Ferrari techs must nearly cry when they get a look at the ECU's in these things at service time and see that what most of them have done is just idle their way to car shows. Thank god the thing gets driven by an enthusiast who appreciates what he's got underneath him. Good to see. I was just a kid at the Sydney motor show when these came out. My uncle who took us bought us a scale model each. He also took us to watch qualifying at Bathurst when the Sierras were tearing it up. And so began my turbo problem...

Thats the one car that every time the garage door opens it takes your breath away! The design and look will never get old! Plus price for these will only go up!

I live locally to where that car is based so have been lucky enough to see it a few times on the road. Alway gives me goosebumps when it drives past, dream car right there 🤙

This is easily my favourite car in the world. When I was a small child I had several Hot Wheels F40s. As an adult who has since donated all such toys to secondhand stores, I wish I kept those Hot Wheels F40s, they would’ve looked great on my desk!

Best film on the F40 I've ever seen. 10/10. I will own one at some point. I was on the correct trajectory about 20 years ago but I hit a stumbling block in the shape of a 924 Carrera GTS. Lost a load of cash and then the business went under. Still got a nice collection, but it adds up to 50k!

So amazing that he's not afraid to drive it! He's more concerned with enjoying it vs keeping the miles down for resale, even though this gains in value 100000x more than the miles he's acquired

I first saw the F40 in 1987 when I was 7 years old and was blown away by it. I'm now 41 and I'm still blown away by it. The only Ferrari I would buy (if I had the money).

among all F40´s Videos this one has the Best Sound and Audio Ever!!! @ 1:00 to 1:08, 3:45 to 3:53 and 4:05 to 4:10! How many here got the chills and watched it again and again and ... again??? I had the priviledge a few times to be at the passenger side in a yellow one in Friuli Region, Northern Italy. I have clicked the Like Nr. 3000 of your video ;)!!!

I love seeing people who actually drive these cars rather than lock them away for investment. There is one local to me and seeing it out driving just fills me with joy. I remember it launching in 1987 and at 9 years old nagging both my parents to take me to the Motor Show at Earls Court just to see it in person. I was not disappointed. Will always be the top of my lottery win garage list.

Well done John! At least you take yours out and let people see it and appreciate ! What a great move to just land home with it - Easier to beg forgiveness than ask permission ! You show the difference between an investor and a true enthusiast!!

When I moved to NW London 10 years ago, I saw an F40 driven by a Sikh guy and 10years on in 2020, I saw the same guy using his F40 in chiswick last week with a big cardboard box in the passenger seat? And between 2010 & 2020, I've seen him a couple of times on the Great west rd and in Norwood green garage, southall. Still looks Awesome, sounds good too.

I remember reading about these in the Sun Newspaper at work when they came it was all "you have a piece of string to close the door and you can see the weave under the paint etc etc". I'm not into cars really I much prefer motorbikes but if my numbers come up this is the car I'd have, no question, no doubt. I'd love to just sit there and look at it, clean it and of course drive it, funny thing is I've never seen one in the flesh but man I want one so bad it makes me feel all funny. Oh well, maybe one day. Fantastic car.
