Күн бұрынHello and welcome to this video in which I show you the brand new 1:18 replica of the legendary Ferrari F40 by GT Spirit! Now I don't think the car itself needs much of an introduction, as the F40 is one of the most popular supercars by Ferrari. As every 1/18 scale modelcar by GT Spirit, the F40 is finished in resin material and doesn't feature any opening or moving parts. This specific example here is painted in the traditional Rosso Corsa red paint. I certainly don't regret adding this masterpiece to my diecast/resin modelcar collection. I´m my opinion, I don´t think it looks very right. The wheels are very weird looking, the seats looks a bit too large and the black paint application is sloppy, the side windows frame that meets the roof seems to be a little higher than it should. On the good side the red paint looks very good, the body accuracy is decent, the engine is decent and it´s an affordable model compared with other resin and diecast F40s.

I agree with some of the points you made! The seats don't look too realistic and the black paint around the exhaust is very bad. I've heard a lot of people on the internet complain about the wheels, personally though, they don't bother me at all. But yeah there are definitely some flaws on the model that could have been avoided! Thanks a lot for telling me your opinion! Greetings

@@Fe12TB it's the side windows on these resin models that puts me off the most . They all look dreadful with no detail . I'd rather put up with the kyosho diecast wrong shape over these sealed plastic models .

@@paulthomson9014 That‘s a very good point you‘re making there. If the Kyosho version wasn‘t so expensive and so hard to find these days, I would have probably gone for that one as well! But for this price point, I think GT Spirit did a decent job on this F40. Greetings

@@Fe12TB personally for the price point and the lack of detail , ie the window problem and the back mesh and fact its sealed I'd rather pay a bit more and have a 1:12 scale tamiya kit where you can put as much detail as you want in it .

@@Fe12TB the one I really want is a high end diecast ferrari f50 . The hw elite is pretty bad and I also have the 1:12 tamiya diecast which is also pretty bad . The looksmart f50 looks pretty decent but again it's a sealed resin which puts me off .

Thank you! Very good question, I asked myself the same thing and did some quick research but didn‘t find anything on the go... If anyone knows about these markings, feel free to tell us all here in the comments! Greetings

@@Fe12TB they’re usually present on the headlights and rear glass as an antifog heat element, they’re very thin wires (copper like) that heat up when the heat inside is on so the headlights don’t fog up!

@@ayandas7822 Thank you very much for the info! I guess you‘re talking about the orange stripes on the headlight covers, aren‘t you? I didn‘t know what they were for either, so your comment is very useful. However, I think the initial question from @ImperialDiecast was about the markings on the very top of the headlights (small black markings looking like some sort of logos). At least, that‘s how I understood the question. Anyways, thanks again! Greetings

Oh I'm afraid I don't know. They are old gloves my mum bought for... ehm I don't even know what she bought them for lol. They are just basic gloves, nothing fancy, I'm sure you'll be able to find some in a supermarkt near your location! Sorry I couldn't help you more. Greetings

Yeh the shape of the kyosho is pretty off , as with all their ferraris and countach . But these resin models , I have seen a single model where the side windows look good , none of them ! They all look like aftermarket home made windows . There is no texture or depth in them

No it doesn‘t, unfortunately... It‘s made out of resin, not diecast, and most resin models are sealed... Greetings

I guess because it‘s made out of resin, and resin models with opening parts would blow the budget

This model looks wrong on many levels - the seats are too tall, the headlights are oversized and the gear knob looks like it was built for the HULK.

There are indeed some details wrong about this modelcar. But you can't expect it to be as accurate as a BBR for example, considering it costs only a third of a high end resin modelcar... So for this price point, I think they've done a very decent job. Thanks for your comment. Greetings
