Thanks to my day job at Kelley Blue Book, I drive and review lots of cars. Today I’m driving a 2019 Ferrari Portofino. As an often sleep-deprived father, the notion of waking up extra early on a Sunday sounds awful but on a recent Sunday I did just that. My buddy Derek invited me to join him and some friend for a quick early morning run up Angeles Crest, Los Angeles’s famed mountain road. With a Ferrari sitting in the driveway how could I say no?
For those who don’t know, the Portofino is Ferrari’s most accessibly-priced offering with a base MSRP starting at $214,533 including destination. Power comes from a 591-horsepower twin-turbo V8, dispensing its power through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Oh, and it features a retractable hard top. As a convertible fan, I was predisposed to love the 2019 Portofino but was the entry-level Ferrari thrilling enough to justify sacrificing precious Sunday morning sleep? Watch and find out.
And just so the premise is ultra-clear, this is not a comprehensive review but rather a casual look at the 2019 Ferrari Portofino, while I live my normal life. Simple. Fun! #MicahDrives
