IIRC in the US, Ferrari doesn’t even let you take Challenge cars home. You tell them what event you’re planning on participating and they haul your car to that track.

I worked at a ford proving grounds back in 2002 .we tested those GT40 prototypes for corrosion. The yucca arizona site had a Nascar track on site that ford used to dial in their team cars for Vegas and Phoenix tracks. I got to drive the car on the track but was restricted to 55 mph .there was a overpass built over the track that blocks the camera view for 1/4 of the track. So putting around the track at 55 dropped it in 2nd from 5th and nailed it and was almost in a instant was doing 110 .very wild ride

A road registered race car? ONLY IN THE PHILIPPINES. Are you really regretting leaving Thailand for the Philippines? The Phils is an awesome country. Less regulations as you've discovered, friendly people, and the typhoons never hang around for too long. So in a day or two it will be back to normal tropical heat and sun. And get out to the islands if you can. I love the place.

Ferrari Challenge cars are so rad. When I was a kid I saw the Ferrari Challenge 360, 430, and 458 challenge cars racing. The drivers were crashing into each other every race. Reminded me of the Fight Club quote, “I felt like destroying something beautiful.”

I'd take the Ford GT over anything in there. I have a Factory Five GTM and may end up building an RCR GTR. It's their '05-'06 Ford GT replica based off the Robertson's LeMans race car. You should check it out. Aluminum monocoque chassis and CNC suspension. It's better than the real Ford GT and lighter. It's basically their record setting SLC chassis in the Ford GT wheelbase and track. It comes as a roller and you add drivetrain and electrical, cooling, etc. About 60k for the kit but worth about 120k finished properly. It's great for taller guys too. Lots of interior room. You wouldn't fit in my GTM. I'm 5'7 and am close to the roof.

you know you would probably really enjoy doing like a bike trip like you did in thailand that lasted multiple days and ended up having a tshirt design made at the end. there are a lot of really nice roads for bikes under 600cc and for the big bike counterparts. you would probably really enjoy that like doing a sagada (rice patties) tour cuz and up to baguio which is like much cooler weather. or check out the overlanding scene. lots of really nice 4x4s and a lot of clubs that wouldn't hesitate to have like a 3-5 day adventure for CB Media. I get it your channel is about the fast cars but you being from texas man i think you'd really enjoy the other side of the car culture here as well. anyways always have enjoyed your content

Bedliner on that car looks okay... if they get a urethane clear and spray it 20 minutes after the bedliner goes on - add some metal rainbow flake to the clear or pearl or whatever... it really spiffs up the bedliner look, and smooths it out a little. You will still chew up rags cleaning it off though. and because the bedliner is urethane and the clear is also urethane - they will bond together like paint would =D

Man that 488 is insane ... and how your rep is growing to score that fast fang on the backstreets of Manilla ... but the twin turbo LS in that old school Camaro will be out of the box when it is put together... would love to see that car finished if can be there for that Chad

Guess they have some pretty lax road laws in the Philippines. I doubt there are many other countries where a 488 GTB Challenge EVO would be allowed to be driven as a street car. Pretty badass tho, probably not gonna see another one on the road LOL.
