Ferrari have debuted their SF-24 " Evo" Imola upgrades at their private race track in Fiorano and with it we get our first glimpse at the Red Bull RB20 style sidepods as have been talked about for weeks.
This package has the potential to have massive gains for the teams, as they have improved straight line speed and the overall downforce & load produced thank to the Red Bull style sidepod overbite.
The team don't want to rest of the laurels after such an impressive display up again the RB20, and know they have a lot of work to do to catch up fully to F1's leading team!

nobody can be sure but certainly these updates are applied to a car that does not look so inferior to RB… if they found simulations to be reflected more in actual results there is a higher chance of a gain, but set up is also important. The floor is the key to it all so we are unable to understand the truth until a couple of GPs have passed.

It's true, particularly are we don't know the changes that they have made to the underside of the floor and may never see them. It's gonna be key to hit the ground running in FP1/2/3 this week as the weather looks pretty good!

I feel like the Ferrari upgrades will bring them 2/10 of a second however Red Bull is bringing their own upgrades which I think will put them up by another four or five tenths

Don't get me wrong I'd love nothing more than a 3 way battle for wins between RB/Mclaren/Ferrari,but so far we don't know how these upgrades will pan out until we see a couple of races.

The sidepods aren't red bull style, they are in fact Alpine A522 style!

The inlet itself may be taken from the Alpine, but the overbite isn't. They've taken the best of both worlds from those two teams to make the best solution work for them!

the data you publish has no basis, the gain in lap time has no meaning, 6 tenths of a second? on what type of track? fast? slow?, the lap time is 2 minutes or one minute and 15?, come on, not even Vasserur is unbalanced, how can you know that he even gains 10 km/h? in Imola? on an airport runway? if it were true, such a profit would be much more similar to a miracle...

Maybe the comps are based off data from runs at Foriano between the SF24 during the launch day and then laps from the other day with evo? If they are then the extreme increase in performance would make total sense considering at launch it was the first time tge car was on the track vs the EVO which while a new package hitting the track, the car itself, emgineers, and drivers are now lock and step with it? I’m playing devils advocate here, I’m not saying the numbers are based on known factual data. Ferrari does seem notorious for performance based leaks like this and by leaks I mean bullshit 😂😂 I have had stories / content like this build my hopes up so many times thru the years only to then have the car hit the track and be nothing close to what the content portrayed. I have unfollowed dozens of Ferrari media outlets due to sensational reporting or outright false claims that are made to simply drive traffic and engagement. Since discovering this channel a couple of months ago, I have actually really enjoyed the content by The Racing Edge. However, I’ve noticed a few videos here lately that were essentially just reposts of the same video just using a different title and changed a couple things. I may be wrong. But I hope the channel stays grounded to just keeping it real and sticking to factual details and insights. Legit fan based news, content, and entertainment channels like one have to really work hard to build a following at a time where new creators pop up everyday and post utter nonsense, have zero integrity, and rely solely on feeding the world salacious content to satisfy the algorithm and their wallets by getting folks like us to engage their monetized video. This is why I don’t drink coffee in the afternoons. It’s 11:30pm and I’m writing novels in the KZfaq comment secrion 😂😂😂

If there is a 0.6 gain in the SF-24 it’s not to say that RB’s upgrade will have a 0.2 gain and end up just equaling the pace between the two teams. Then everything comes down to set up, degradation and race strategy. Hopefully Ferrari bring a car that’s going to be quicker than RB which will leave less on the table for them to mess up.
