As someone who owned that bike, Tom deserves massive credit for how he rode. That thing is hard enough to launch on dry, high grip pavement. He was launching on low grip, damp, and rough pavement and still kept it together. Not to mention the crosswind. It's hilarious to watch how easy it is to launch and drive the cars by comparison.

Came to say the same thing... wide ass camp, cross wind blowing, this pavement is ABSOLUTELY SLIPPERY on such high humidity conditions (it has grass and mud crossing it... oh hell no, a single gear change in the wrong place, and you're going bazooka on this thing 🤣) Tom definitely played a bit with his luck there, and is a very technical and smart pilot.

Mclaren won drag because Ferrari was running on Bridgestones... Also it almost caught up 750s by the end of the race and pretty effortlessly destroyed the 750s in the roll races

@yashharmalkar5929 when mclaren come with hybrid system will destroy the ferrari all the time. On roll race when Matt wants to try 30mph 50mph, you can see Ferrari couldn't go further. Ferrari with a hybrid system is what give instant power.. I choose mclaren 750s anyday!

The bike had it for me in the sound test. Jamie the ducati is the ferrari of the bike world but alot of people say the aprilia rsv4 is the lamborghini of the bike world. They have the same rivalry. So how about you set up a race for the rivals?? Aprilia, Ducati, Ferrari and lamborghini? I'll be more than happy to bring my RSV4 1100 Factory to race 👍🤪

Rider on the bike was also short shifting around 10k rpm , ducati v4 has peak power around 13-14k rpm , From the video he was shifting way before power comes on. This bike has a 15,000 redline. would of been a lot different outcome if he held the gears for longer period.

I also think so. 100-200 would also be a lot quicker. It's not easy, I think, but I'm sure there's more potential there than with the cars at least without tuning them obviously.

Lewis would have won if the race wasn’t restarted with him on worn tires and his comp on new tires. That’s racing . Conditions are never ideal. No excuses.

@@speedlife301in ideal conditions with the rider/driver skill matched.....that mclaren will lose every time. 10.6 is slow as hell for any 1000. The same bike has run a 9.3 on other channels. My fireblade is about 30bhp down on this ducati and i've got 9.9 out of mine. The fact that a gsxr 600 with 95bhp less is only 3 tenths behind this bike on the leaderboard tells you that he didnt get a single decent run.

@@callumg_0147 100%. The skill it takes to launch a bike is hard enough but adding crosswinds, cold damp runway into the mix aswell makes it impossible to get a decent run. Stock Bikes have been running sub 9's since the the late 90's. All 1000cc superbikes can do it, its just having the skill to do it

Bro, Ducati have 220hp and weight under 200kg . Mclaren have 720hp and weight heavy 1400kg image mclaren with the same power to weight ratio.

McLaren underrated the 720S, this is known widely. It made 700 whp on the dyno. With a loss of 11%, that means it’s actually making 786bhp at the crank. DragTimes took the Ford GT, 488 Pista and 720S to the dyno. The Ford was making what was claimed, the Ferrari made 721bhp so just over by 10bhp, while the McLaren made 786bhp. That’s 65bhp more than the Pista, despite the fact they are both claimed at 711bhp.

Sheesh the mclaren continues to prove why it's one of the most rapid supercars ever built! This is bonestock that time 😮! If you want out and out performance then that's the car to go for, doors go up and it's premium af but for me the rarri sounds the best and when cruising alone that is what i would enjoy a little more on weekends. Just add novitec exhaust and wheels and heaven comes to earth. I actually prefer the f12 ferrari more, it looks better to me.

The 812 is a real challenge to keep planted. It gets outrun by a lot of these more track focussed vehicles, and perhaps a different driver could get a bit more out of it, but considering it is front engined, heavy, comfortable, quiet GT car with a boot, its actually pretty impressive.

812SF Curb weight is 1800+kg, 720s is 1500+kg with near same bhp at the wheels... so the best power to weight ratio was for the 720s between the cars...

This was great. The mclarens are just boss out the box there totally underestimated. I expected more from the ferrari but obs wasnt in race mode until the last drag 😂. Bike was romping it til he started missing gears and or bouncing off the limiter. Bike is obviously much harder to control…. Skillz required 😊

Awesome video! This was always going one way and that was the Ferrari not winning anything but the sound contest. McLaren underrated the 720S, this is known widely. It made 700 whp on the dyno. With a loss of 11%, that means it’s actually making 786bhp at the crank. DragTimes took the Ford GT, 488 Pista and 720S to the dyno. The Ford was making what was claimed, the Ferrari made 721bhp so just over by 10bhp, while the McLaren made 786bhp. That’s 65bhp more than the Pista, despite the fact they are both claimed at 711bhp. It surprised me when the drivers thought the roll races would be close. And a front-engined RWD supercar was never going to out launch a mid-engined RWD supercar.

the 720 is just something else even on carwow it proves it self time & time again but fair play to the lad on the bike some serious skill it ride that the way he is 🙏🏼

The Ducati just sounds the nuts with the quick shifter… As a mad bike and car owner, I’m always split with these races 😄 But ultimately, I’m rooting for the bike..as I own 6 of em 😁🤙🏽
