Beautiful is written by Ferry Corsten, Ben Cullum (the brother of singer Jamie Cullum) and Debra Andrew, who also does the vocals on the track.
You can find the original version of the track on Ferrys L.E.F. album, but on this release you will find Ferrys original extended mix. The B side of the vinyl contains a nice remix which is done by Paul Moelands under his Re:Locate alias.

+Yeng Yang Agreed. I showed my brother and all of his friends, and all of my closest friends trance like this during our years in HS (2001-2005). I've listened to it for 20 years now. They all listen to EDM and dubstep and are part of that scene, and I'm happy for them. But they forgot their roots. Well, maybe not my brother.

This masterpiece is a time machine. Whenever I hear it. I'm transported to the first time I heard it. And then I get to relive all of the beautiful memories in between then and now. As I create more memories, I stop to think how beautiful life can be, even with all the ugliness in the world. This song is everything that is beautiful in life, rolled into 8 minutes of pure bliss.

Listening to this song at a rooftoop at 3am, while the city sleeps and just watching the city lights or the endless stars around myself or just simply closing my eyes and lost in the music, truly an amazing emotional moment. Sitting there just me, an ecstasy and a joint and experience something special that words cannot describe. Thinking about the past, the present, the future...The amazing people that i met in this crazy world, my family, the one and only love that i experienced and sadly lost... And i still cant forget... This song always will be special for me and will be part of me. I cant describe the feeling to others, i wish i could explain what it means to me. Memories can be really painful. Tears and joy together in an 8 minutes masterpice. Thank You Ferry for this amazing journey. Trance music is my medicine that helps me goes through the hard times. @@XFireDevilX it was peaceful and lovely. But it happened after a really sad breakup and it made it extremely emotional. The sadness and emptiness that i felt was something else. it was a mixture of everything, yet hard to describe. Sometimes words are simply not enough to express such a special feeling.

It was about two weeks after I began making EDM music in February that I heard this song again. The effect you just mentioned is exactly why I got inspired to do it. This song just motivated me to grind even harder. Three months later I've got 34 tracks and 3 have been released on digital platform. Life is grand!

I remember the first time I heard this track. I was at Future Fest in Austin Texas. My wife and I were standing under a full moon with some party people. Ferry was there for his Twice in a Blue Moon Tour. He had just started his set. My wife was telling everyone about how she heard this track “Beautiful” by Ferry. Right after she said that Ferry dropped the track. She heard it and was so excited because I hadn’t heard it yet. We ran inside to dance. Can’t beat the good ol’ days.
