Welcome back to the Elmcreek Farm Timelapse. Today, our tasks revolve around tending to the fields and caring for our livestock. Our first order of business is to continue tilling the soil. For this purpose, we will deploy two JOHN DEERE tractors equipped with John Deere 915 11 Shank plows to plow the fields following the corn harvest. Additionally, we have acquired a CASE IH Steiger heavy tractor, which we bring to our primary yard. Here, we attach a manure spreader and assign a hired worker to fertilize two fields.
Another one of our impressive BIG BUD V16 747 tractors will be dispatched to prepare the seedbed in the fields. Once that task is completed, we will return to our farm to attend to the well-being of our cows. Our first step involves loading mineral food produced on our farm and delivering it to the feed production area. Furthermore, we intend to provide the cows with their traditional feed consisting of hay and grass. To achieve this, we will use a shredder to break down the hay bales and transport the shredded material to the feeders by truck.
In order to efficiently harvest the grass, we have acquired a reaper for our forage harvester. This equipment will cut and shred the grass, allowing us to transport it to the feeders. To accommodate the harvested forage and surplus grass, we have constructed a storage facility. It will serve as a central location for storing the forage, while any remaining grass from the field will also be delivered there.
