Tinungbo Dance has a story to tell! Let's watch once more the award winning performance of Pugo Catholic School in the Festivals ti Amianan where they won as champion. Their dance presentation with no much flair or fancy simply tells the history, values and identity of the Pugo community. They have a very clear storyline, all parts a part of the whole story. They were also able to capture the hearts of La Union people because of the "unity" theme they have presented as a finale of the dance. I have watched now so many festival streetdances, that because of their many years of celebration, many fantasies, bravura, experiments and flairs have been incorporated in the dance... these are for entertainment. It is now a challenge to our future Tinungbo contingents to be able to enhance but not to hide or displace the story of the Tinungbo Festival dance. - Lalaine V Aspiras

Tinungbo Festival of Pugo, La Union is one of the multi awarded festivals of the North. They have already won several open categories in the North! Pangasinan, Baguio, La Union etc. Kung mag papa open category yung taga South like Kadayawan, Sinulog, Masskara etc may laban sila... Pero pinaka best performance nila is sa Pangasinan at Baguio
