Not a bad review but some inaccuracies: - Festool vacs can be used for wet pickup, you just have to get the sponge filter. - "It's just a vacuum" is an over-simplification as to what it was designed for. Other brands call their high end vacs dust extractors as well. They have feature that separate them from basic vacs, like the power take off outlet on the vac, variable suction, anti-static, HEPA rating, etc. So while they're technically all "vacuums", there is a difference. It's like saying all contraptions with wheels and a motor are motor vehicles. - A festool rep said that any tool by festool will work fine with the vac outlet; you just have to make sure the vac+tool doesn't exceed the wall outlet's capacity. It's in one of the pinned posts over on FOG. - Most dust extractors of this caliber from any brand are $$$$. $800 isn't out of line for what you're getting.

The lawyers seem to have disagreed with the Festool rep, as the warning on the vac states "To reduce the risk only. connect a tool rated 3.7 amps max to this outlet"

@@toolamanjaro929 Most of the vacs with outlets of any brand will say something similar (my fein turbo I is 6 amps IIRC); it's as you said, just the lawyers doing the lawyer thing. Plenty of festool users have zero issues running their festool tools with the ct vacs, including the kapex and OF 2200. Nothing to be concerned about.

Lost all credibility within 30 seconds with mis-information. I’m not a festool fanboy and even I know it can do wet vac with the wet vac filter. I don’t know about the rest of the video as I stopped after the kick off with bad info.

@@SeamlessFab 1995 is my year of birth. I doubt I’d need a hearing aid any time soon. The audio in this video is just terribly normalized, even when listening on my phone.
